Shane takes Andrea into the woods to practice shooting at a moving target, a log swinging from a tree. Shane and Andrea are ambushed by walkers outside the house they were searching. Andrea begins to panic but she is able to overcome her fear after Shane refuses to help her. On the way back to the farm a sexual relationship starts between Shane and Andrea.

Glenn goes into town in order to get abortion pills for Lori. Glenn also picks up pre-natal vitamins in case Lori wants to keep the baby. Maggie is grabbed by a walker as she reaches for a pill bottle. Glenn acts quickly and beheads the walker as Maggie watches in horror. Rick finds the empty pill pack in the tent and confronts Lori about the pregnancy. Rick learns that Lori and Shane had a relationship before his return, but tells her that he already knew.

Maggie and Glenn have a conversation about the walkers. Glenn explains that he does not see them as people anymore, and asks Maggie what she refers to the walkers as. Maggie tells Glenn that she calls them "mom, Shawn, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, Laci, and Duncan."

Dale would have told Rick, but Glenn wanted to be the one to say something since he was the one to find the walkers in the first place. The group rushes over to the barn where an argument starts. Shane wants to clear the barn immediately, but Rick insists that they should get Hershel's blessing first.

Dale realizes that Shane is encouraging people to carry a gun against Hershel's wishes. Dale takes the bag of guns into the swamp in order to hide them from Shane. Shane catches Dale and Dale tells Shane that he was meant for the new world and the rest of them are just trying to survive. Dale threatens to shoot Shane if he tries to take the guns, but Shane knows that Dale won't do it. Shane takes the guns and gives them out to the other members of the group.

Rick talks to Hershel about staying at the farm. Hershel agrees as long as the group does not kill anymore walkers. Shane arms the members of the group saying that they have to protect themselves. Shane cracks when he sees Rick with the walkers and opens the barn doors.

As the walkers bust through the door Shane, Andrea, Daryl, and T-Dog take aim. Glenn joins the others after Maggie gives him the okay.

There was over a dozen walkers in the barn. The group kills all of them but freezes as Sophia walks out. Carol runs towards Sophia and Daryl grabs her. The group freezes in shock that Sophia is a walker. Lori holds onto Carl as they both sink to the ground.

Rick steps up to shoot Sophia because everyone else is frozen in shock. Daryl was the one person that thought Sophia would be found alive. Daryl is the one that shoots Hershel's wife.
