Answer: David Palmer

David Palmer was a great character, and in my opinion, would make a good president in real life. David Palmer started as a presidential candidate in season one, and by season two was in office. He ended up divorcing his wife, Sherry, who turned out to be power hungry for the position of First Lady. David Palmer eventually gets assassinated in season five by terrorists. You might also have seen Dennis Haysbert (David Palmer) in the Allstate commercials.

Answer: Tony Almeida

Tony Almeida, played by Carlos Bernard, was Jack's best friend and was always there for him. Tony ended up falling in love with Michelle Dessler in season two and the two worked together until season five. When a car bomb explodes outside Tony's house it kills Michelle, and injures Tony.

A terrorist named Christopher Henderson ends up killing Tony who pretty much lost the will to live. Tony Almeida's death was a shock to fans everywhere and many people will miss his character greatly.

Answer: Mike Novick

Mike Novick is the white-haired shifty Chief of Staff to David Palmer and Charles Logan. He is played by the talented Jude Ciccolella. Mike Novick first appears in season one as Senator David Palmer's aide and is then his Chief of Staff in season two. But, when vice president Jim Prescott invokes the 25th amendment and wants to remove David from office, Mike goes along with it and David later fires him.

He re-appears as Charles Logan's chief of staff in season five and he helps Martha Logan and Aaron Pierce take him down in the finale. Jude Ciccolella loves dogs and also has composed four CDs of his own! I thought that was pretty awesome!

Answer: Bill Buchanan

James Morrison portrays Bill Buchanan in seasons four and five, and Bill soon becomes a great character in the show. He is a very nice guy and is always willing to help Jack, even if he has to risk getting in trouble for it. I hope his character is on the show for a little while longer (Karen and Bill would make a cute couple). James Morrison has made appearances in other action shows like "C.S.I." and he was raised in Anchorage, Alaska.

Answer: Charles Logan

Charles Logan becomes President of the United States after John Keeler is mortally wounded, but we do not know him as a "bad guy" until the middle of season five. All he wants to do is make a deal with foreign countries to get more oil, but he kills many people. Martha Logan, Mike Novick, and Aaron Pierce help Jack Bauer put him in jail. Gregory Itzin played Charles Logan and was nominated for an Emmy with Jean Smart.

He first portrayed Charles Logan at the end of season four, and the writers liked him so much, they decided to have season five partly revolve around him.

Answer: Aaron Pierce

Glenn Morshower plays Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce who slowly became an important character to the show. He only makes cameo appearances on the show to assist David Palmer, until season five when he has to work for Charles Logan. He is assigned to watch Martha Logan, and you soon see that the two seem to care for each other very deeply.

She later saves him from being killed and the two work with Mike Novick to get Logan in jail. Glenn Morshower was born and raised in Texas, and as an adult plays agents and military men on t.v. including "The West Wing," and "C.S.I."

Answer: Edgar Stiles

Edgar Stiles was a great character on the show and will greatly be missed. He is treated rather badly by the rest of C.T.U. at the start of season four, but soon everyone learns to trust him. He even helped Chloe O'Brian which almost got him fired. But by the start of season five, you can see that Edgar loves Chloe, but she doesn't love him back.

When the nerve gas is released in C.T.U., he goes to find a coworker and dies from the gas. His death was the saddest on the show, in my opinion, because his last words are "Chloe," and Chloe starts to cry. Edgar is also one of the four people honored with a silent clock. Louis Lombardi, who plays Edgar Stiles, was not told that Edgar was going to die until right before it was filmed, and it shocked him. According to 24Inside on the official 24 website, Louis Lombardi was sad to see his character die, but was happy he would be remembered forever.

Answer: Chase Edmunds

Chase Edmunds is introduced in season three as a Field agent that helps Jack Bauer. He is the only one that knows Jack is addicted to heroin and doesn't tell anybody. He is also dating Kim (Jack's daughter) and Jack doesn't like that. When Jack goes undercover with the Salazars, Chase follows him and is almost killed by Salazar's men. Back at C.T.U., Chase's baby daughter Angela arrives and he and Kim almost break up over it.

In the finale, Chase has a bomb with a virus attached to his hand and Jack has to chop it off.

By the beginning of season four, Chase and Kim are married. James Badge Dale (Chase) has famous parents named Grover Dale and Anita Morris.

Answer: Ryan Chappelle

Ryan Chappelle is the normal bureaucratic boss who gets on everyone's nerves and always causes Jack, Chloe, and everybody else at C.T.U. grief. He is constantly bossing people around and has even given orders that contradict the right thing to do. But then, in season three, terrorist Stephen Saunders orders the death of Ryan Chappelle. If they don't kill them, then he will release the Cordella virus. Jack has to shoot Chappelle, but Chappelle does not resist because he knows he has to die. Chappelle, in a way, becomes a hero and is one of the only four people on the show to receive a silent clock. Paul Schulze portrays Ryan Chappelle, and he has appeared in various other shows including "C.S.I." and "The Sopranos."

Answer: Wayne Palmer

D.B. Woodside plays Wayne Palmer who is introduced to us in season three as David Palmer's brother and new Chief of Staff. We soon find out that Wayne Palmer slept with Julia Milliken, the husband of Alan Milliken. Alan Milliken supports David Palmer, and without Alan, David would never have become President. Alan starts to blackmail David who calls in Sherry to help. Julia and Sherry let Alan die and later Julia Milliken shoots Sherry and then herself in front of Wayne. All of this in one day happened to Wayne! Then, to top it off, he sees his brother murdered and is then chased by terrorists for half of season five. I think poor Wayne Palmer might be the only other man on the show as unlucky as Jack. D.B. Woodside has made appearances on the shows "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Jag."

Answer: George Mason

Xander Berkeley plays the great role of George Mason, the head of C.T.U. in seasons one and two. He is very blunt and almost always has something mean to say (especially to Jack and Nina). But, in season two, George is exposed to a high quantity of plutonium and it causes him to become very sick.

He only has twenty four hours to live so we see him make up with his estranged son, and try to make things right with everyone at C.T.U. Then, a nuclear bomb is found, and someone has to to do a suicide mission to get rid of it. Jack decides to do it, but it turned out that George Mason had stowed away on the plane.

He took over and Jack survived. Because of George's courage he was one of the four people on the show to receive a silent clock. Xander Berkeley married the actress Sarah Clarke, who plays Nina Myers. Berkeley also appeared in the movie "The Killing Jar" with Carlos Bernard who plays Tony Almeida on the show.

Answer: Curtis Manning

Curtis Manning is new to C.T.U. in season four and one of the first things he finds out about him is that he once dated Marianne Taylor who is mean and rude and turns out to be a mole. Then, in season five, we see Curtis more often because he is constantly working with Jack and is involved in some of the rescue missions. Curtis is a great character to the storyline, but his character is still a little underdeveloped. Roger Cross (Curtis) was actually born and raised in Jamaica until he was eleven and was originally going to fly planes but became a stunt man and soon became an actor.

Answer: Behrooz Araz

Jonathan Ahdout plays the teenager Behrooz Araz who appears in season four as the son of terrorists Dina and Navi Araz. They want him to break up with his girlfriend Debbie, but he doesn't. Then, she follows him to wear they have kidnapped Audrey Raines and James Heller. Dina kills Debbie, and then Navi wants his son killed. Behrooz runs for it, and Dina helps him because she is angry at Navi too. Behrooz later kills his father, and survives the rest of the season.

He never re-appears. Ahdout also plays the son of Shohreh Aghdashloo (Dina) in the movie "House of Sand and Frog."

Answer: James Heller

James Heller is played by William Devane, and he is a great character in the show. We first see Secretary of Defense Heller with his daughter, Audrey Raines, who is dating Jack Bauer. He and Audrey are kidnapped, and he is put on a mock trial by terrorists and is almost killed.

He mostly stays at C.T.U. for the rest of season four, and helps out Erin Driscoll and then Bill Buchanan. In season five, he finds out about Charles Logan being a terrorist and tries to put a stop to it. The terrorists follow him, and he drives off a cliff. Luckily, he survives. William Devane has also appeared in the show "The West Wing" as the Secretary of Defense, and was in a movie with Donald Sutherland called "Space Cowboys."

Answer: Jack Bauer

I thought I'd save Jack Bauer for last, because he is "The best" and the main character. He is very brave and continues to work for the government, even after his wife is killed, and some of his good friends. (He even has to endure a heroin addiction, and has killed many bad terrorists and even a C.T.U director named Ryan Chappelle.) Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer, has signed a contract for three more amazing years of "24."
