Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. John Goodman, Mark Consuelos, Matt Malloy

Answer: Alpha House

Goodman played North Carolina Sen. Gil John Biggs in the show. The show focused on four senators who all shared a house in Washington when they weren't in their home districts. It ran for two seasons.
2. Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright, Kate Mara

Answer: House of Cards

The U.S. version of "House of Cards" debuted on Netflix in 2013. Kevin Spacey starred as then-Senator Francis Underwood. By season three he was the President of the United States. Robin Wright played his wife Claire. Kate Mara played a reporter for various organizations such as the "Washington Post".
3. Rob Lowe, Martin Sheen, Dulé Hill

Answer: The West Wing

The show was set mostly in the West Wing of the White House (big shocker there...) during the presidency of Jed Bartlett. The show follows along with his presidency through two terms.

Martin Sheen played Bartlett. Rob Lowe played Sam Seaborn in seasons 1-3 and again in season 7.
4. Kerry Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Columbus Short

Answer: Scandal

The show focuses on Olivia Pope & Associates, a crisis management firm, and its employees.

Pope is played by Kerry Washington. She runs the company, and deals with the bigwig Washington insiders.
5. Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth

Answer: Madam Secretary

Tea Leoni plays the titular character Dr. Elizabeth "Bess" Adams McCord, her husband Henry is played by Tim Daly.

Elizabeth worked as an analyst with the CIA prior to getting her job as the Secretary of State. She replaced the former SOS when he died in a plane crash.
6. Geena Davis, Donald Sutherland, Harry Lennix

Answer: Commander in Chief

Davis played Pres. Mackenzie Allen. She was the first female vice president, placed on the ticket to help win the election. She, however, wasn't the person the president wanted to take over if he ever couldn't finish the term.

When the president died she took the job, as was her right. Donald Sutherland played Nathan Templeton, the man who the former president wanted to succeed him.

Harry Lennix played the Chief of Staff for Allen and the former president.
7. Timothy Bottoms, Carrie Quinn Dolin, Kurt Fuller

Answer: That's My Bush!

The show was political satire from the same creators who made "South Park".

Bottoms played Pres. George Bush, Dolin played Laura Bush, and Fuller played Chief of Staff Karl Rove.

The show ran one season, debuting just a few months after Bush took office in 2001.
8. Patrick Baladi, Andrew Buchan, Matt Smith

The show ran only 8 episodes. "Party Animals" offered a behind the scenes look at British Parliament and those who worked with them.

Smith played Danny Foster, Buchan played Scott Foster, and Baladi played James Northcote.
9. Michael J. Fox, Charlie Sheen, Barry Bostwick

Answer: Spin City

The show was set in the New York City Mayor's office. For the first four seasons it followed Mike Flaherty (Fox) as he worked as the deputy mayor who basically ran the city. For the last two seasons the deputy mayor was Charlie Crawford (Sheen). Barry Bostwick played Mayor Randall Winston.
