Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What family made their home at the Shady Rest Hotel in Hooterville?

Answer: The Bradleys

"Petticoat Junction"
Kate Bradley owned and operated the Shady Rest, a bed and breakfast in the tiny farming community of Hooterville. Her three daughters, Billie Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Betty Jo, along with Kate's Uncle Joe, all lived in the hotel. While the hotel was picturesque, the accommodations comfortable, and the food good and plentiful, the hotel was definitely lacking in amenities. Can you imagine having to take a train to the general store, just to use the phone?!
2. Who lived in North Fork, New Mexico?

Answer: The McCains

"The Rifleman"
Lucas McCain and his son, Mark moved from Oklahoma after the death of Mrs. McCain. They bought the Dunlap Ranch, a huge place four miles outside of town and began life anew there.
3. What family called 211 Pine Street, in Mayfield, home?

Answer: The Cleavers

"Leave it to Beaver"
Ward and June Cleaver moved to the larger house on Pine Street during the third season. Even though the house seemed to be very large, Wally and Beaver still shared a bedroom!
4. What family lived on Preplanis?

Answer: The Robinsons

"Lost in Space"
John and Maureen Robinson, their children, Judy, Will, and Penny, pilot Don West, stowaway Zachary Smith, and the Robot crash landed on Preplanis and lived there for about a year, before the planet literally broke apart. (We didn't even realize the planet had a name until episode fifteen, "Return from Outer Space." Will went back to Earth in a matter transfer machine and told the people there that they were stranded on Preplanis!)
5. Which of the following men lived at 1020 Palm Drive, Cocoa Beach, Florida?

Answer: Major Anthony Nelson

"I Dream of Jeannie"
A lovely house in a great neighborhood, belonging to a NASA astronaut, and it had only one bedroom?! Poor Jeannie had to sleep in her bottle until they married in the final season. Looks like she could have blinked up a bed in Major Nelson's den upstairs!
6. Who lived at Stalag 13, Heidelberg, Germany?

Answer: Colonel Robert Hogan

"Hogan's Heroes"
Colonel Robert Hogan and his command were imprisoned in Stalag 13, under the not-so-watchful eyes of Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz. They actually could have escaped, but voluntarily stayed in prison camp to do espionage and demolition work and undermine the Germans.
7. Whose home was the Ponderosa Ranch in Nevada?

Answer: Ben Cartwright

"Bonanza"
Widower Ben Cartwright owned the Ponderosa, a one-thousand acre ranch in Nevada. His grown sons, Adam, "Little" Joe, and "Hoss" lived in the huge log house, along with their cook, Hop Sing.
8. Which of the following women lived at 344 West 78th Street, Apartment 4-D, New York, New York?

Answer: Ann Marie

"That Girl"
Marlo Thomas played Ann Marie, an aspiring actress who moved out of her parent's house in Brewster, New York into her own apartment. The apartment was a nice one-bedroom flat in Manhattan; it probably rented for a pretty penny, and I have to wonder how Ann afforded it. She got some acting jobs, of course, but supplemented her income with low-paying odd jobs. And all those "mod" clothes must have cost a fortune!
9. What family lived in the Skypad Apartments, Orbit City?

Answer: The Jetsons

"The Jetsons"
Who didn't want to live in this spacious, futuristic apartment, with all its' fabulous gizmos? George Jetson and his wife, Jane raised their children, Judy and Elroy in their luxury apartment with the help of Rosey, the robot maid and Astro, their dog.
10. What surgeon was stationed at the 4077th Mobile Army Unit Surgical Hospital in Ouikongbou, Korea?

Answer: Captain Benjamin Pierce

"M.A.S.H."
Pure genius, to be able to take a situation like a mobile hospital in the Korean War, and turn it into a sitcom! "Hawkeye" Pierce led the surgical team, under the command of Lt. Col. Henry Blake and, later, Colonel Sherman T. Potter.
