10. After this singer's performance, judges said he looks like a Hobbit and that he would be a perfect Middle Earth Idol. What country does this plumber and father of two represent?

Answer: Norway

Kurt, with his trademark smile, sang U2's "Beautiful Day." According to Simon, Kurt Nilsen of Norway has an "astonishing voice" but not the greatest looks. Simon also said that Kurt would easily win the competition if it was only on radio and not TV.

Incidentally, during his auditions for "Idol of Norway", the Norwegian judges said Kurt won't ever sell an album. Kurt proved both Simon and the Norwegian judges wrong, winning World Idol and producing a debut album that went platinum on its day of release.

His single "She's So High" was the biggest selling single in Norwegian history.

Answer: Alex

Alicja, or Alex, debuted as a singer at age 8. She recently found the music she truly likes. The Polish judge, Kuba, is a lecturer of journalism. He is arguably as frank and harsh as Simon. (I would really wanna see a match-up between the two.)
12. Wearing a formal suit and glasses, this Canadian Idol is known as "waiter boy" and he is a household name in Canada. Who is this versatile singer?

Answer: Ryan Malcolm

Ryan Malcolm works with some of the best Canadian songwriters. He is supported by his whole country and fellow finalists. If you didn't notice, all the incorrect answers were made up and each surname is the name of a boy in "Malcolm in the Middle."

15. The clips are done, and now you are shown tapes of different countries' hosts giving you the voting results. The totals are tallied up. In almost a landslide, this singer wins and is congratulated by the hosts and the other competitors.

Answer: Kurt Nilsen

From first to last place: Kurt of Norway, Kelly of USA, Peter of Belgium, Heinz of South Africa, Will of UK, Ryan of Canada, Guy of Australia, Alex of Poland, Diana of Pan-Arabic, Alexander of Germany, Jamai of Netherlands. Only the Pan-Arabic vote placed Kurt lower than first place (excluding Norway, which can't vote for Kurt.)
