Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who is part of the Pazzi Conspiracy?

Answer: All of these

Jacopo de Pazzi was the head of the Pazzi family and ran the banking business for the Pazzi. He was an associate of Lorenzo de Medici. Because he had nothing personal against him, he hired four Templar hitmen to resolve the situation for him. Stefano de Bagnone and Antonio Maffei were just two of the four hitmen, not counting Francesco de Pazzi. Bernardo di Bandino Baroncelli and Archbishop Francesco Salviati were the other two.
2. In what year was Ezio born?

Answer: 1459

During the beginning of the game, you see that the story of Ezio Auditore da Firenze starts out in 1476. It says, in Ezio's database, that at that time, Ezio was 17. When subtracting 17 from 1476, the answer is 1459. Therefore, Ezio was born in 1459.
3. Before setting off on his journey to Venezia (Venice), who does Ezio have the pleasure of meeting?

Answer: Caterina Sforza

Ezio's mother, Maria, introduces you to Leonardo in the starting tasks of the game. Ezio doesn't get a chance to actually "meet" with Emilio Barbarigo. However he does notice him and Rodrigo Borgia (the Spaniard) murdering Jacopo de Pazzi while eavesdropping on a Templar meeting. And Ezio does not, in fact, get a chance to meet Rosa (the female thief) until he makes his appearance in Venezia.
4. How old is Ezio when he defeats Rodrigo Borgia (the Spaniard?)

Answer: 40

As mentioned earlier, Ezio was born in 1459. Ezio does, in fact, defeat Rodrigo. He doesn't defeat him until the year of 1499 when he journeys off to Roma (Rome). When subtracting 1459 from 1499, the answer is 40. Therefore, Ezio was 40 years old when he defeated Rodrigo. Ezio was 17 when the story started.

He was 29 when Rodrigo told of the prophecy and the Vault beneath the Il Vaticano in Roma.
5. What did Ezio say when he defeated Rodrigo?

Answer: "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. Rest in peace."

"May death bring the peace you sought. Rest in peace." - This is what Mario Auditore (Ezio's uncle) spoke to Vieri de Pazzi when Ezio refused to show respect for his death. "I take no pleasure in this, but I see no other way. Rest in peace." - These words were spoken to Emilio Barbarigo when Ezio assassinated him inside Seta. "Go forward friend, unburdened and unafraid. Rest in peace." - This is what Ezio spoke to Jacopo de Pazzi after having to put him out of his misery since Rodrigo and Emilio both stabbed him.
6. What had to be done to Ezio in order for him to join the ranks of an assassin?

Answer: His hand had to be signed

This happened during sequence 11. Leonardo warned Ezio of a delivery to Rodrigo Borgia, so Ezio assassinated the guard carrying the delivery and stole his armor. When he reached the rendezvous, Ezio went up against Rodrigo Borgia. After killing all of Rodrigo's guards, Rodrigo fleed without the delivery and a bunch of familiar faces, such as Sister Teodora, La Volpe, and Ezio's uncle, Mario, explained that all of them were assassins.

They thought that Ezio was ready to join the ranks of an assassin but they had to have an initiation before joining. So, they singed his hand like they most likely did with the rest of them.
7. What was the name of the God/Goddess in the Vault?

Answer: Minerva

Minerva was the one who explained her name as well as Juno and Jupiter's. She explained what would happen if Ezio didn't do as she instructed. Zeus, the God of lightning, has nothing to do with any of this.
8. Which of the following is unessential to hiding/losing notoriety?

Answer: Synchronizing

By hanging from the inside of wells, guards will be unable to spot you. Same goes with walking with crowds and sitting on benches. The only thing synchronizing does is clear a certain area of your map.
9. What does the message at the end of "The Truth" video mean?

Answer: 2012

The message contains twenty 0's and twelve 1's, meaning 2012. Although, 2012 translated into binary code spells out Eden. Adam and Eve most likely were Assassins running away from Templars, judging by their free-running abilities.
10. Why did Rodrigo become Pope?

Answer: To gain access to the Papal Staff

Being the Pope gives you access to the Papal Staff, the second Piece of Eden. Ezio had the Apple, so becoming the Pope would have done nothing. Rodrigo also said that he didn't believe a word in that ridiculous book, so he's obviously not very religious. And Rodrigo is the type of man who would most likely not change his ways.
