1. The game takes place during which crusade?

Answer: Third Crusade (1189-1192)

The gameworld is set in 1191 AD, which is during the Third Crusade. This crusade, led by the Europeans, was meant to reconquer the Holy Land from Saladin. It is also known as the King's Crusade. If you listen closely, Saladin and his enemy King Richard are mentioned several times in "Assassin's Creed".
2. Which one of these is NOT a tenet of the Creed?

Answer: Obey to your superiors

The three tenets are mentioned in one of Al Mualim's speeches at the beginning of the game. The assassin's live by these tenets. Altaïr broke all three of them in Solomon's Temple and was demoted to a novice by Al Mualim. In the game, when killing innocent people, Altaïr loses synchronization, ultimately causing death.
3. What is the name of Maliks brother?

Answer: Kadar

Kadar was Malik's younger brother, and is a novice still. He was killed by the Templars when he, Altaïr, and Malik tried to steal the Piece of Eden.
4. Maliks right arm is missing.

Answer: False

Malik lost his left arm as a result of his wounds he got in Solomon's temple. Unable to do his work as an assassin, he was placed in the Assassin's Bureau in Jerusalem.

Answer: Leap of Faith

The Leap of Faith is based off a real incident involving the Hashashin sect. The assassin's in "Assassin's Creed" are based off the Hashashin. The Hashashins leader said his followers would do everything and told some of his men to leap off a cliff. Unlike the game, they didn't survive.
6. Which of these is NOT a reason why Desmond knows Lucy is an assassin?

Answer: Lucy's middle name is Ameera, an Arabic name

In the talks Desmond has with Lucy, it is revealed that she too is held captive at Abstergo Industries. She was to be killed, but Dr. Warren Vidic ordered them to stop.

All three of these man were in some way connected with the crusades. Robert the Sable was Grand Master of the Templars. William V de Montferrat took part in the Second Crusade. Garnier de Naplouse was Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller. They died around 1191 AD, the year in which the game takes place, suggesting they are killed by Altaïr.
8. What does the Piece of Eden do?

Answer: It creates illusions

Al Mualim uses the Piece of Eden to brainwash mankind and so create unity. Today's Templars are searching for more of these artifacts to finally achieve their goal of universal peace.
9. Which of these is NOT an excuse used by the informants to have Altaïr kill their targets?

Answer: Headache

If you are not particularly fond of the informants, the game shows that it is actually possible to assassinate them with the hidden blade. Informants are met at different points in the game, sending you on missions.

Sibrand distinguishes himself from the others with a horned helmet and a bow. Talal wears a black costume with yellow stripes and carries a bow. William de Montferrat wears a coat with the Templars' sign and carries a sword. Jubair wears a red, black and gold coat.
