1. In what game did you play as a yellow character who ate white pellets (dots) in a maze?

Answer: Pac-man

"Pac-man" was released by Namco in 1980. Believe it or not, "Pac-man" was actually inspired by pizza! This game was also released for the Atari 2600 (the first Atari). This version was received quite negatively because people thought it did not look anything like the arcade version.
2. In what game did you have to shoot aliens as they moved side-to-side before they got to the ground?

Answer: Space Invaders

"Space Invaders" was released by Taito in 1978. "Space Invaders" once caused a shortage of yen in Japan because it was so popular!
3. In what game did you have to shoot different types of bugs and, when shot, the main bug break into smaller pieces?

Answer: Centipede

"Centipede" was released by Atari in 1981. "Centipede" also had a sequel called "Millipede" which had more types of bugs. "Millipede" was released in 1982.
4. What was the game where you had to jump over barrels and climb ladders in order to save your girlfriend from an evil ape?

Answer: Donkey Kong

"Donkey Kong" was released by Nintendo in 1981. Did you know that this game starred some of the earliest appearances of Mario and Princess Peach? They were not called Mario and Princess Peach though, they were called "Jumpman" and "Pauline".

Answer: Mario Bros.

"Mario Bros." was released by Nintendo in 1983. One of the famous enemies in the "Mario" series was called the Koopa (the turtle enemy you could jump on in the later series). He made his first appearance in this game.

Answer: Frogger

"Frogger" was released by Konami in 1981. "Frogger" is regarded as a classic of the "Golden Age of Arcade Video Games."

Answer: Pong

"Pong" was released by Atari in 1972 (a pretty old game). "Pong" was also released as a console in 1975, but could only play "Pong." You had to get past the enemy eleven times to win.

"Break-out" was released by Atari in 1976. One of the creators of the game was Steve Jobs (the creator of Apple)! He worked at Atari in 1973.

"Dig Dug" was released by Namco in 1982. There was a very similar game called "Mr. Do" released in that same year. The only difference was the main character was a clown and you had to collect berries.

"Asteroids" was released by Atari in 1979. "Asteroids" was Atari's best selling video game for the Atari 2600.
