Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Death Toll," the third level "The Church," the Survivors encounter an insane man. What is written all over inside of the room where he's hidden himself?

Answer: "Better safe than sorry"

The Survivors demand to be let into the safe room where the man is hiding, inside a church. But he mutters to himself, "better safe than sorry" and makes the group prove they're immune by fighting off a horde he sets off by ringing the church bells. After the man becomes a zombie (either a hunter, boomer, or smoker) and the group enters the room, you can see his mantra written all over the walls upstairs.
2. In which campaign do you encounter an airport terminal?

Answer: Dead Air

The fourth map of "Dead Air" puts you in an airport terminal. There, you must set off a van to break through gates you can't get though on your own. You must also run through the area where baggage is placed. The next level is the finale.
3. Which Survivor cries out, "You guys mean everything to me"?

Answer: Bill

In "The Sacrifice," you must power up three separate generators to lower a bridge for your escape. However, one generator goes out and must be powered back on. It's a situation where one Survivor must die for the others. If you play as Bill and are the one to make the sacrifice, you will sometimes hear him yell "You guys mean everything to me!" If you play as others, they will yell other things (such as "Take care of each other"). If you are playing the campaign, become the sacrifice, and are playing as Bill, you will earn the achievement "Kill Bill".
4. Which special infected can cause 25 points of damage with one hit no matter which difficulty you're on?

Answer: Hunter

Any special infected can eventually cause you 25 points of damage. But the Hunter can pounce from high up and potentially cause you to lose 25 points all in one hit. The tank can certainly cause that amount of damage, but it varies. It's the same thing with the witch: in Expert, if you startle her and don't manage to kill her, one hit from her huge claws will kill you.
5. What's a disadvantage of throwing a Molotov at a tank?

Answer: He runs faster

If you have a Molotov, it's recommended that you throw it on a tank. His health will slowly start to go down as he runs around on fire. However, the disadvantage is that he DOES run faster, so use caution! If you're injured he can easily catch up to you. Like the rest of the game, a tank is easier to kill if you do it as a team.
6. It's impossible to kill a Survivor as a Boomer.

Answer: False

Even the lowliest regular infected can kill a Survivor. If a Survivor gets incapacitated twice and aren't healed, they will see the world as black and white. If they are "black and white" they will eventually walk extremely slowly and are very vulnerable.

Their health will reach 1 and one hit will kill them, and a Boomer is fully capable of hitting Survivors. Also, around some edges, if a Boomer is killed, his small explosion can knock Survivors away. This could cause them to dangle from the edge, thus incapacitating them
7. Which campaign pits you against the most tanks?

Answer: Trick question!

Tanks spawn randomly in the game so there is no set count for tanks in any one campaign. Some may even show up in the first levels. And each play-through will be different. In "The Sacrifice" you're guaranteed to fight at least four of them: one being held in the train car in the first level, and three at the end, one for each generator you must start. So there are four tanks guaranteed in its three levels.

However, other campaigns have five levels, so technically you could fight five tanks in one game. Often times I've found that if there isn't a tank, there will be a witch somewhere.
8. Each campaign begins and ends outside.

Answer: False

Most missions begin outside, but not all of them. In "Dead Air" you start off in a greenhouse filled with the infected. In "Blood Harvest" you're in the woods, "No Mercy" you're on the roof of an apartment complex, "Death Toll" you're on a road alongside the woods, "Crash Course" outside next to your crashed plane, and "The Sacrifice," outside next to a body of water, near a train.

It's your choice for most of the endings whether or not you want to fight outside or inside. For example, in "Blood Harvest," there's a house or a farm to fight in, but only if you choose to.
9. Which campaign has an easter egg in the form of a tribute to the remake of the movie "Dawn of the Dead"?

Answer: Crash Course

Crash Course has only two levels. In the last level, you must start a generator that will help lower a large escape vehicle. If you notice, the van that you must lower is painted in the front with almost teeth-like jagged lines. In the movie (the remake) "Dawn of the Dead," the characters build a large escape van and paint a very similar image. It's a shout-out to the exciting movie.
10. In which campaign can you "camp out" in water during the big finale?

Answer: Death Toll

In Death Toll, John and Amanda Slater offer you a ride on their boat. First, you have to hold out for them and wait until they arrive. You can wait in a house on the edge of a forest. If you choose to, you can sit and fight in the water. There is a limit to how far back you can go, but if you fight there, there is a lot of open space and hopefully ample opportunity to see any special infected coming for you!
