quiz
Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The new race of "EverQuest" that joins Norrath in the expansion The "Serpent's Spine", is which of these?

Answer: Drakkin

The Drakkin joins Norrath as a race that has the mixed blood of both sacred dragons and enduring humans. As the character levels higher, the more the draconic features stand out, as well as the horns that begin to sprout from their head. Spines grow along the ridge of their back and their colour of scales is also a great factor on their individual powers.
2. Now for some acronyms which people in "EverQuest" tend to use for the zones as an easier and faster way to speak. What is the zone SoNH?

Answer: Swamp of No Hope

Swamp of No Hope is a good place to level for levels 3-7, near the Iksar encampment by the northwest edge of the map. To the south of the map, there are Dire Leeches, Iksar Brigands and traitorous iksars, along with nibblers. These are good from level 17 to 30.
3. When you are in the Plane of Knowledge, you click the port stone to Shar Vahl and it takes you to the Shadeweaver's Thicket.

Answer: True

The Vah Shir is the most intelligent of the many races in Norrath-that, and the tallest. No one really knows where the cat-like race really came from, except that they had been found on the moon, Luclin, when years ago, the Norrathians had teleported themselves to the centre of the moon, or the Nexus.
The moon had been inhabited by a large city called Shar Vahl, a citadel surrounded by a large crater of galactic stone.
4. Another acronym to test your skills with geography in Norrath. If you want to get to PC, what zone lies inbetween both the Nexus and PC itself?

Answer: Shadow Haven

The Nexus is located at the centre of the moon, therefore Paludal Caverns lay just below the surface of Luclin. The only two encampments/cities that rest on the surface of Luclin that are forever facing Norrath is Shar vahl and the camps of warriors outside their gate.
5. The most common used spell in the entire world of Norrath is Levitation.

Answer: False

The Spirit of Wolf is actually the most common used spell in all of Norrath, and the best place to get it is in Plane of Knowledge. By the way, one has to go from zone to zone what with epics, goals, quests and raids, it is easier to be faster. Though, as time goes by, Horses and Drogmores are slowly taking the spell's place.
6. The Wood Elf city is located in the dank, damp port of Firiona Vie.

Answer: False

Firiona Vie is one of the options for the home land of a High Elf. The Wood Elf race's home land tends to be in Greater Faydark, in the tops of trees. The port stone to Greater Faydark, from Plane of Knowledge, is Kelethin.
7. In the Mines of Gloomingdeep, there is one creature in the bottom of the central mining shaft (Dig Site one, as stated on map). What is the name of the pit fiend?

Answer: Krenshin

Krenshin is gargantuan beast that inhabits the bottom mining shaft in Dig Site 1. Many characters have lingered too long in his lair, and paid the price with their lives.
8. If one was in Plane of Knowledge, one would have to go to Field of Bone in order to get to the Emerald Jungle.

Answer: True

Emerald Jungle is a high-levelled palce for levels 25-and up, if you have many buffs at hand as well. It is the place of decay and tall, steep and dangerous cliffs. Decayed gorillas and other creatures roam the zone, along with skeletons.
9. The Horse is a nice addition to the game of "EverQuest". It was added when an old expansion, the "Shadows of Luclin" came out. The fastest horse, at the extreme price of 127 000 platinum, helps you meditate better.

Answer: False

The slowest horse, at the high price of 10 000 platinum points, is the best horse to meditate on. Really, only the creatures that cast spells and use mana need horses. Though many buy them for no purpose except looks.
10. In order to reach this unknown place, one must first pass through the Nexus, than go to Netherbain's Lair, run through a hall, turn right, and port into the zone. What is this zone called?

Answer: Marus Seru

Dawnshroud Peaks are actually the zone next to Sanctus Seru and Marus Seru. Be careful, for the many monsters that lurk there tend to attack their prey without warning.
