1. The people of Goodsprings frequently talk about critters. What are they referring to?

Answer: geckos

At the beginning of the game Doc Mitchell suggests you talk to Sunny Smiles for training. As part of your training you have to rescue people from these gecko 'critters'.

2. How many ranks of the intense training perk is there up for grabs?

Answer: Ten

The intense training perk is handy as you can put an extra point on the special skill of your choice. These are strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility and luck.

3. You can have various followers in "Fallout: New Vegas". One is ED-E. Where can you find ED-E?

Answer: The Nash residence in Primm

ED-E is a robot but you need to repair him to have him as a follower. You'll need scrap metal and sensor modules. Oh yes, and a good repair or science skill too!

4. Which skill book can you find in one of the caravans along with tin cans and bent tin cans in Mosquito Mountains Campsite?

Answer: Wasteland Survival Guide

The Wasteland Survival Guide grants three points to your survival skill. Guns and bullets grants three points to your guns skill and the Big Book of Science grants three points to your science skill. "In Fallout 3" the small guns and big guns skills were different skills but in "Fallout New Vegas" it's all one! Programmer's Digest is a magazine which will give a temporary boost of ten points to the science skill.

5. What is the name of the ghoul in Camp Searchlight who is not yet feral?

Answer: Private Edwards

You can earn money from collecting dog tags from ghouls in Camp Searchlight. If you have lots of radaway and rad-x, a space suit or (advanced) radiation suit and go exploring the town you'll find Private Edwards and he'll tell you he's not feral yet because he isn't in the heaviest radiation.

6. According to your regular Pip-Boy, how much is a conductor worth?

Answer: 30 caps

Although an item can have a high value if your barter isn't high you'll not get much for it. The skill book Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor grants an additional three points to barter.

7. Which of the following do you find a lot of at Goodsprings cave?

Answer: coyotes

Although you'll find coyotes inside and outside of this cave you can also find a dead Bright's follower and two dead Wastelanders. One of these Wastelanders has a Lad's Life magazine.

8. How high does your survival skill need to be in order for you to make the trail mix at a campfire?

Answer: 25

The trail mix consists of the following ingredients: 1 fresh apple, 1 fresh pear, 5 pinyon nuts and 1 sugar bomb. You can also make things such as the mushroom cloud, desert salad and slasher. Happy cooking!

9. Where can you find Swank?

Answer: The Tops

Swank is near the entrance as you walk into The Tops casino. Here you can find Benny who shot you and is one of the characters in the main mission. You can gamble at The Tops. Be careful not to spend too much or you'll be shunned!

10. What's the name of The King's dog?

Answer: Rex

The King's dog Rex is poorly and if you want him as a follower you need to kill other dogs to get him a new brain. Depending on the brain you give him he will gain certain bonuses. Dogmeat isn't in this "Fallout" game. There is a scrapyard though and from the distance you can see dogs. They look like Dogmeat but as you get closer you find out they aren't.
