Answer: All of these

All of these apply to give you a basic description of Kratos. He is also well-built and has a deep voice. I did not want to say he was "bald"!

2. What bird can be seen in the arms of Athena's statues?

Answer: Owl

Athena is also known as the goddess of wisdom, and she is the one that Kratos often prays to. Her statues come to life to aid Kratos in his quest for redemption. The owl is also deemed as a 'wise' bird.

3. How many Sirens must you find and kill in the desert in order to proceed through the temple?

Answer: Three

You must find three sirens roaming around the vast desert in order to open up the temple. You have to kill them - snapping back their heads by pressing "O." Be warned though - two of these are guarded by Hammer Minotaurs. There are also heaps of chests here containing lots of experience points!

4. How does Kratos kill Ares, the 'god of war'?

Answer: Stabs him through the chest

After fighting Ares, he falls to his knees, and Kratos stabs him through the chest. A lot of blood spurts out of the god of war's chest, then he falls and dies.

5. Why does Kratos want to kill Ares in the first place?

Answer: Ares made Kratos kill his wife and daughter

Ares' reason for "tricking" Kratos into killing his family was that they were stopping him from becoming a true, powerful warrior. After Kratos saw what he did, he vowed to kill the god that gave him his might, having the ashes of his wife and daughter forever stuck to his skin as a reminder. This is what gives him his pale complexion.

Answer: A mini-game - rotations of the left analog stick

This was a really hard boss for me - simply because I was not very good at the rotations of the analog stick! Just like finishing off Gorgons, in order to stun the Minotuar, you must wait until the 'O' symbol appears, and then you must follow a series of tricky analog rotations. If done successfully, the minotaur will be stunned, and you can then proceed to climb the stairs, pull the lever and hit it with a flaming log. Doing this a couple of times will crack its armour, making it easy pickings.

7. What is the very first thing we hear Kratos say in the beginning of the game?

Answer: "The Gods of Olympus have abandoned me..."

Afte he says the above quote, Kratos jumps of the Cliffs of Madness, and a narration starts. Then begins a 'flashback,' three weeks prior to his attempt at suicide, and you begin playing!

8. Who helps Kratos escape Hades [hell] by casting down a rope so that he can climb back up to the surface?

Answer: the Gravedigger

Kratos first sees the gravedigger digging a grave (duh) as he tries to save the Oracle from the Harpies. He is also taken aback when the Gravedigger says that it is Kratos' grave that he is digging. Later, Kratos comes back up to the surface with the help of a rope thrown down to this grave.

He, of course, is quite surprised, especially when the Gravedigger says that it is not only the Gods that want to protect him. The Gravedigger then mysteriously disappears...

9. When Ares killed Kratos, he fell to Hades [hell]. What is different about the monsters (enemies) here, compared to the ones on the surface?

Answer: They have flaming/burning armour

The monsters do indeed have 'flaming' armour, but other than that they are the same as the ones on the surface. In other words, the Archers, under all that flaming armour - are still the same, weak Archers as before.

10. What do you press in order to switch from 'Blades of Chaos' to the 'Artemis Blade'?

Answer: L1 + R1

To switch back, simply press the two buttons again. The Artemis Blade is a huge, powerful weapon - however it is slower in delivering attacks too.
