1. Which of these cars will not qualify for the World Classic Car Series?

Answer: Buick GNX

The Buick GNX won't qualify for the World Classic Car Series quite simply because it was made too late! They only allow cars made in 1970 and earlier, meaning even the Toyota 7 Race Car can get in (as long as you've equipped it with sports tires).

2. Which car is the odd one out?

Answer: Toyota Celica TA22

The TA22 is the odd one out, because all the rest of the cars were made in 1954. The TA22 was made in 1970, and a beautiful car it still is.

3. Which car here is the most powerful without any tuning added?

Answer: Honda LIFE step van

The Honda LIFE is the most powerful, even if its box shape does prevent any form of decent performance. All the rest of the cars will struggle to reach 20BHP, while the Honda has a 'mighty' 31BHP when you first get it.

4. How much does the Jay Leno Tank Car weigh?

Answer: 3,500 kg

The Jay Leno Tank Car is a special car that you can only win one of (by winning racing missions 9 to 16). It has nearly 1000BHP, but weighs 3.5 tonnes, and can't be raced, so it seems a little redundant. You can only use the Jay Leno Tank Car on Free Runs and Time Trials. Shame, really.

5. What was the first name of the guy who started Honda?

Answer: Soichiro

Soichiro Honda started off by producing bicycles, but he then moved to cars, starting with the S500 in the early 1960's. Honda is one of the world's largest car companies.

Answer: El Capitan 300km

If you win the Nurburgring 4hr, you'll win the Chapparal 2D Race Car, a cute little thing from 1967 with around 420BHP, and only 3 gears. The Laguna Seca 200 mile will reward you with the Ford GT Race Car, and the New York 300km will give you a Dodge Charger Super Bee. The Minolta is by far the most coveted car here.

7. What car do you drive on the Tsukuba guided run for your B-license?

Answer: Mini One

Don't feel bad if you put Mini Cooper, it's quite hard to tell them apart. The Mini One is, in fact, the only car out of the entire list that you use in a license exam.

8. Which of these cars doesn't have an MR drivetrain?

Answer: Tom's Castrol Supra

The Tom's Castrol Supra has an FR Drivetrain, making it good for powerslides. All the others have MR, meaning they are better for powersteering.

9. If your car's transmission was set to its minimum level, what effect would this have on your car?

Answer: The acceleration would be good, but the top speed would be really low

When your transmission is set to a low level, it means the revs rise a lot faster, and the car gains speed faster. It's great for getting out front fast, and for technical circuits, where it's just corner after corner after corner, but for anything with a long straight, a low top speed just spells out 'doom'.

10. I've just bought a Lotus Carlton. Where did I get it?

Answer: Early 90's used cars

The Lotus Carlton was first made in 1990, meaning you'd have to wait for one to show up in the used cars section before you can buy one. Hitting nearly 370BHP, the Lotus Carlton is still one of the world's fastest production cars today, and until the Bentley Continental GT (which isn't on "Gran Turismo 4"), it was the world's fastest 4 door saloon.
