In the original, you had to keep holding the notes before/after it was played in order to perform a po/ho, and in the second this was changed, but you had to hold down the strum bar, and in the third everything was free game, allowing tapping to be used for songs like "Through the Fire and Flames".

"Because its Midnight" is performed by a fictional eighty's hair metal band from the Homestarrunner universe. This band just happens to be Strong Bad's favorite band.

In all of the other games for the series had four members in the band (guitarist, drummer, bassist, and singer/keyboardist). "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" added a rhythm guitarist, bringing the number of people on stage to five.
