Did I catch you out? Borgin and Burkes is in Knockturn Alley. For some reason, Olivander's wasn't in Diagon Alley in this game and neither was Madam Malkin's, or the cauldron shop. I'm not sure what the first years will do about getting their wands, robes and cauldrons, but somehow Ginny managed to get them!

Unfortunately it is Snape, when you have just been moaning about him! Luckily, he is not in charge of expelling you - and you get off (fairly lightly) with detention. Ron ends up with helping Filch, but you have to help Lockhart answer his fan-mail! This Gameboy Color game is very true to the book!

They will have all disappeared; quite right too, as Ron would not do well when 'vomiting slugs'. To get rid of the slugs, you have to visit Hagrid and gather the ingredients for treacle fudge, which are all found in his garden.

To find this spell, you go up to Filch's desk and press A, and you find his secret book. He then rushes in - but it is too late: you know he is a Squib and you have a new spell. You learn Petrificus Totalus from Katie, and Incendio from Professor Sprout. Mr Weasley teaches you Informous.

Hagrid's Hut is always found south of the Greenhouses, in an enclosure. Only this time, there is a garden attached. Gringott's dungeon is less maze-like and therefore easier to find your way around, and the vault doors are different. The floors at Hogwarts are smaller and some of the shortcuts have been changed too, some completely disappearing.

The Dueling Club never appeared in the previous game.

Answer: The girl's dormitory

I don't know why you can go into the girl's toilets but never the dormitory. I imagine this way it is true to the book, where if you tried to get into the girl's dormitory, the stairs would become a slide underneath your feet.

You duel seven- a representative for each year of Hogwarts. If you win, you get prizes, and if you lose, it doesn't cost you anything. It is a good way to practice your spells, get experience and level up!

Answer: Aragog

When Hagrid gets taken to Azkaban, you and Ron decide to "follow the spiders" into the forest, where you get taken to Aragog's lair by spiders. You find out that the monster was not the one who killed the girl fifty years ago - later you find out from Hermione that the real monster was a Basilisk. Wanting to leave the lair, you back off... but Aragog won't deny his family "fresh meat" and will attack you.

It would not matter if you didn't know any spells, because you don't need to use them for this final battle! Since you lose your wand to Tom Riddle, you have to attack the Basilisk using Godric Gryffindor's sword, with some help from Fawkes, the Phoenix.
