Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What area of the game is home to the Sheegoth?

Answer: Phendrana Drifts

There are two types of Sheegoths: Baby and Adult. The Baby Sheegoths can be defeated by destroying the ice on their backs. When you first fight the adult Sheegoth, you can only defeat it with either the Missiles or the Morph Ball Bombs. However, once you get the Plasma Beam you can defeat them with that by just simply shooting at them, actually making them easier to defeat than the babies.
2. What other game can be linked up with "Metroid Prime" to unlock extras?

Answer: Metroid Fusion

If you've finished "Metroid Fusion" and you link the two games, you will unlock the original Metroid which you can then play. If you've finished "Metroid Prime" and you link the two games, you can then play through "Metroid Prime" with the Fusion Suit from "Metroid Fusion".
3. The Thermal Visor is obtained before the X-Ray Visor.

Answer: True

You get the Thermal Visor in Phendrana Drifts in the Space Pirates' research lab. You get the X-Ray Visor in the Tallon Overworld shortly after you get the power bombs.
4. Which boss guards the Spider Ball?

Answer: Thardus

Thardus is a big rock creature with varying weak points. To see his weak points you must put on your Thermal Visor and the weak point will immediately become clear. Once you shoot the glowing spot enough times you must then switch back to your Combat Visor and shoot the weak spot again. You must repeat this process while avoiding Thardus' attacks to defeat him.
5. Once you defeat the Omega Pirate, you get the Plasma Beam.

Answer: False

You may actually want to use the Plasma Beam against the Omega Pirate as his Phazon armor can be destroyed pretty quickly with the Plasma Beam, so the statement is false. You get the Phazon Suit for defeating the Omega Pirate. The Phazon Suit allows you to step into pools of blue Phazon without getting hurt and allows you to step into the pools of Phazon that Metroid Prime creates and enter Hypermode. Except unlike in "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" you are not invincible while in Hypermode. You will have a powerful Phazon Beam.
6. In which of these places are Fission Metroids found?

Answer: Impact Crater

Once Fission Metroids take enough damage, they split into two different colored Metroids and much be destroyed with the beam that corresponds to the color of the Metroid. The Fission Metroids can also be defeated by use of a power bomb.
7. What is your reward for defeating Flaahgra?

Answer: Varia Suit

To defeat Flaahgra you must flip over all the solar panels. This will stun Flaahgra and open up a tunnel which you must enter in Morph Ball mode and drop a bomb. This will ignite Flaahgra damaging him. Once you do this four times he will be defeated and the Varia Suit is yours. With the Varia Suit you can enter Magmoor Caverns without taking damage from the intense heat. Falling into lava however, will hurt you no matter what suit you have.
8. Which of these enemies will swallow you whole in Morph Ball Mode?

Answer: Stone Toad

If you get close to the stone toad in Morph Ball form it will suck you in and swallow you. This can be annoying when you are trying to boost up to the higher levels in the Reflecting Pool and the toads on the lower level keep eating you. The only way to destroy one of these toads is to lay a Morph Ball Bomb when in swallows you.
9. Which of these enemies can only be harmed by the Power Beam?

Answer: Chozo Ghost

The Chozo Ghost are found in various places in the Chozo Ruins. They will be visible one moment and then invisible the next. To see them when they are invisible, put the X-Ray Visor, this may also help you see as the room becomes dark when the ghosts appear.
10. The Gravity Suit does which of these?

Answer: allows you to move freely underwater

The Gravity Suit is obtained in Phendrana Drifts, so that rules out one answer. The dark beam is only in "Metroid Prime 2: Echoes" so that rules out another answer, and not even the Phazon Suit can protect you against the Phazon found in the Impact Crater, so that leaves "allows you to move freely underwater". With the Gravity Suit you can move underwater just like you were moving on dry land.
