You get the Phazon Suit for defeating the Omega Pirate. The Phazon Suit allows you to step into pools of blue Phazon without getting hurt and allows you to step into the pools of Phazon that Metroid Prime creates and enter Hypermode. Except unlike in "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" you are not invincible while in Hypermode. You will have a powerful Phazon Beam.
