Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Appropriately, the first golden article of clothing obtained by Henry in the game is which of the following?

Answer: Hat

The golden hat is discovered by Henry on a voyage into some old ruins. When he takes the hat off of its pedestal and fits it on his head (snugly, I might add) he not only feels the mystical powers within, but he recedes in age to be a younger man! At the end of each world of the game, Henry receives an additional article of gold, magical clothing which helps him on his journey.

The pants, for example, allow him to climb walls using jumps while the pipe allows him to breathe underwater (to access the third world of the game).

The objective for Henry is to claim all of the items of clothing (or at least the master piece) before the evil Leopold Charles Anthony Weasleby the Third in order to prevent this long-named man from taking over the world.

Some of the gold clothing is found in secret levels!
2. What is the name of Henry's helpful sidekick and shop owner?

Answer: Cole

Cole is a young boy who aspires to be a great, pompous adventurer like Henry Hatsworth (and even seems to have the moxie required to partake in adventures) but Henry won't have it. Instead, Cole remains at Henry's mansion and runs a shop allowing Hatsworth to upgrade attacks and slow down the puzzles of the game (or just add items to the puzzles more frequently). Cole will also give a bit of intel about later worlds as you progress through the game and, on occasion, he'll soup up Henry's robot form which can be accessed through enough power-ups.
3. In order to activate Henry's robot suit, a button must be pressed to activate which event?

Answer: Tea Time!

'Tea Time!' is a particularly interesting time in game. In order for this to occur, you need to fill the bar to the right of the puzzle screen up completely until it glows yellow. When you're back on the adventure screen you'll be able to press a large button with a teacup on it to activate 'Tea Time!' During this moment, Henry will sip at some tea before emerging in his robot power suit which gains abilities the further you progress through the game. For instance, the power suit can shoot its fists at enemies, jump higher in the air (due to thrusters), or crush weaker enemies with a single punch.

When the right-side bar diminishes the robot will destroy itself until the bar refills. You may also choose to conserve the bar (as it's also used to fire projectiles) by pressing the teacup button a second time.
4. Your puzzle meter is full and you press the A button while in control of Henry. What happens?

Answer: You fire a gun

Aside from doing a simple melee attack by pressing the X button (swinging the sword) Henry can also fire his weapon by pressing the A button. This will shoot a bullet of energy at whatever's in front. You can actually power up any bullets before they hit their intended target by clearing puzzle blocks.

The more you clear the bigger the bullets grow. You can only fire if the puzzle meter on the bottom right contains any amount in its bar. Both the melee and ranged attack can be upgraded by spending gems at Cole's shop to a maximum of three purchases. You can also shoot a concentrated beam by holding up on the control pad while pressing A but this will deplete your puzzle meter all the quicker.
5. Which is not a colour of puzzle block?

Answer: Black

The lower screen of the DS will always feature the puzzle when you're in a level. To switch back and forth, hit the Y button; no matter what side of the screen you're on, the puzzle will continue to rise and intrude on Henry's adventure if you don't maintain it. To beat the puzzle, simply shift blocks to create sequences of three or more of the same colour in a horizontal or vertical fashion.

Some blocks will be difficult to move (or impossible) and some will contain bonuses. Although there are light and dark blues, reds, oranges, and yellows to be found in the puzzle, there are no black squares.
6. Which of these items, when obtained in the puzzle, is spawned from an enemy and is not meant to be beneficial?

Answer: Skull

The skull (as well as the metal block, the two-by-two block, and others) is a block created when an enemy is defeated and actually serves to hinder your progress in a puzzle rather than help. To get rid of one of these blocks, as usual, you must link three or more in a row, even if said block can't move or is double the size.

Some blocks even make the puzzle rise faster! Items in the puzzle can also help you. Hearts will refill Henry's health, hats act as extra lives, lightning will zap enemies (and zap away all of that particular colour block in the puzzle) and the hourglass will stop your timer from running out temporarily and freeze enemies. You can increase the amount of hearts and items in the puzzle by buying their respective upgrades throughout the game.

They can be dropped into the puzzle when found in chests or dropped off enemies as well.
7. Which of these worlds is visited latest in the game?

Answer: Puzzle Realm

Henry's journey will take him wherever Cole's book on the subject tells him to go, so he'll begin in the jungle environment of Mysteria. When he gets his gold pants he'll ascend to the heights of Skysland (where he can jump up walls) and fight on high precipices and clifftops (and floating ships). Soon after he'll locate a gold pipe allowing him to breathe in the underwater world of Atlantia.

The fourth world is the Puzzle Realm, a location of odd puzzle blocks mystery around every bend, and more difficult creatures.

The world after this, the final world of the game, is Tea Land-- a land dedicated to looking like old-timey London with an extensive sewer system to boot.
8. Does this game require the DS stylus to be played?

Answer: No

Surprisingly while this game makes use of both the regular and touch screen, the DS stylus is not at all required to complete Hatsworth's journey; everything on the bottom screen can be controlled by the control pad and buttons rather than the stylus.

In fact, you could use the stylus while completing the puzzle but you'd possibly find it a hassle when switching back and forth to the non-touch adventure screen above. Even when selecting levels and buying from Cole's shop, the touch screen is never implemented in that way. "Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure" was originally slated to appear on the Game Boy Advance but was pushed ahead in order to be playable on the DS-- it certainly benefits from the dual-screen.
9. Other than Weasleby, there are only a handful of other bosses in the game. Which of these is not one of them?

Answer: Robo-Hatsworth

Despite there only being a small handful of bosses in the game, the encounters are far from simple. Miss D, for example, the boss of Mysteria, sits atop a rather large structure which shoots bombs. Lance, the burly man atop a floating ship in Skysland, uses his charms to win battles and The Captain is not only accompanied by a rather large nurse, but some of the battle takes place underwater and he has the ability to damage your puzzle window.

The boss of the game's fourth world is Weasleby himself. Having gained the power of the final suit piece he is able to float, divide into two versions of himself, and summon energy weapons to fight.

After each of these boss battles a new golden suit piece is obtained.
10. After defeating the final boss, which of these is unlocked?

Answer: Gentleman's Mode

In the final battler at the end of world five, Henry Hatsworth discovers that Weasleby was never a real person-- it was Cole in disguise the entire time; he was the evil mastermind with bad taste! The final battle takes place with Cole inside a giant robotic suit using lasers, spiked walls, and enemies at his disposal.

When the battle finally ends (if you weren't crushed) you'll finally claim the final piece of the golden suit and the game will be complete...at least the first half. You will also inadvertently unlock Gentleman's Mode which will revert your game back to 0% though you'll still be in possession of whatever you bought in the original playthrough.

This version of the game will be much harder, but for a master puzzle-solver like you, it should be fine.
