Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the very beginning of "Bioshock", Jack has an encounter with a spider splicer known as Rose. Why is her name Rose?

Answer: She drops rose petals wherever she goes

If you watch closely, rose petals fall on the floor whenever Rose is near Jack during gameplay. Many say that the reason for this name is because of the roseate tumor on the head of 'Rosebud' Splicers... but Rose had her name shortened due to the rose petals she drops wherever she goes.
2. In Fort Frolic of "Bioshock", Jack encounters one insane Sander Cohen who is famous for his playwriting, sculpting, songwriting and poems and now rules over the area. But which one of these is NOT one of his productions?

Answer: Higher Level

The real production he had made was called 'Higher Standards', not Higher Level.

The way that we know the productions and media he had made is predominantly through posters and advertisements in various regions in the game. Bedtime Surprise posters are shown in the Fleet Hall; The Black Dream posters are shown in various regions of Rapture; Happy Chappy posters are shown in the Fleet Hall; Higher Standards posters are shown in the Fleet Hall; Patrick and Moira posters are shown in the upper level of the Atrium; Why Even Ask? production posters are shown throughout Fort Frolic, his apartment in Mercury Suites and an advertisement for Rapture Radio.
3. You find out throughout Rapture that Jack is actually Andrew Ryan's son, but Jack's embryo was bought by someone. Who bought the embryo of Jack off Andrew Ryan?

Answer: Brigid Tenenbaum

Most people assume that it was Frank Fontaine who bought the embryo from Andrew Ryan and Jasmine Jolene. However, it was technically Brigid Tenenbaum who bought it from them on Fontaine's behalf. This was when she was working with Fontaine producing adam, plasmids and tonics at Fontaine Futuristics.

Jasmine Jolene was the biological mother of Jack, and Yi Suchong only changed some of Jack's mental structure for Fontaine so that Fontaine could manipulate Jack during later years.
4. What is the real last name of the main "Bioshock" antagonist Frank?

Answer: None of these

Fontaine is actually a name that Frank had taken after stealing anothers identity. The REAL last name of Frank is never fully known. Before he entered Rapture he had the alias "Frank Gorland" in New York. Frank then found one real Frank Fontaine (a fishing boat captain for Fontaine Fisheries) who had very similar physical aspects. Frank then killed this captain and stole his identity and consequently was able to take over Fontaine Fisheries in Rapture.

So who we know as Frank Fontaine was not actually the real Fontaine. Frank was never actually invited into Rapture, but due to his similarity in looks to the real Frank Fontaine, stealing their identity was effortless.
5. During a "Bioshock 2" launch trailer, there is a moment by the Siren Alley Pump Access Station in Simon Wales' church. A song made in 1943 by Kay Kyser features in the trailer at this point. What is the name of his featured song?

Answer: Praise The Lord and Pass The Ammunition

The song "Praise The Lord and Pass The Ammunition" was made by Kay Kyser and his orchestra in 1943 and is featured in the "BioShock 2" launch trailer at the Pump Station Access in Siren Alley, while harvesting in Simon Wales' Church.

"My Heart Belongs to Daddy" was performed by Eddy Duchin & His Orchestra in 1938. This song specifically featured Mary Martin and is heard in the Repair Shop in Outer Persephone.

"Nightmare" was performed by Artie Shaw in 1938 and is heard on the loading screen for Inner Persephone.

"The Trouble With Me Is You" was performed by Red McKenzie in 1935 and is heard on the loading screen of Ryan Amusements, at the El Dorado Lounge.
6. Complete the following Quote: "One man chose a city, free of law and God...

Answer: ...but others chose corruption and so the city fell"

Sofia Lamb was the one who quoted this passage in the "Bioshock 2" launch trailer.

"For every choice, there is an echo. With each act, we change the world. One man chose a city, free of law and God. But others chose corruption. And so the city fell. If the world were reborn in your image, would it be paradise, or perdition?"
7. What is the maximum amount of ADAM the player can receive ONLY from Little Sisters in "Bioshock 2"?

Answer: 3,410

3,410 is the maximum amount of Adam one can collect purely from Little Sisters (excluding gathering sea slugs). To get 3,410, one must rescue all Little Sisters and use the 'Proud Parent' tonic.

3,240 is achieved from rescuing all Little Sisters and NOT using the Proud Parent tonic. 3,330 is achieved from harvesting all Little Sisters and 3,520 cannot be achieved.
8. Who is the voice actor for DLC "Minerva's Den" character, Charles Milton Porter?

Answer: Carl Lumbly

John Hilner was in fact the voice actor for Gilbert Alexander in Fontaine Futuristics and Doug Boyd was the voice actor for Augustus Sinclair. Joel Lawrence is a random name I decided to make up to see if people went for it.
9. Sinclair believed that the only worthwhile efforts were self-serving. What caused him to think this?

Answer: The drowning of a relative

Augustus Sinclair makes this clear to Subject Delta through radio messages, not audio diaries. His grandfather worked in the construction of the Panama Canal and always took pride in this as he believed it was for the greater good of the world. His grandfather then drowned at work and Sinclair adopted the ideology that the only worthwhile efforts were self-serving, thus inducing his selfish mentality.
10. Who manufactured paper effigies of the butterflies for members of 'The Rapture Family' to wear as secret badges before their takeover of Rapture?

Answer: Gideon Wyborn

Gideon Wyborn's audio diary can be found in Paupers Drop where he explains his manufacturing of the butterfly paper effigies.

Sofia Lamb may have started the revolution, but she did not manufacture these effigies.

Grace Holloway was only a strong follower of Sofia's cause. (This can optionally be changed by sparing Grace in Paupers Drop rather than killing her.)

Devin LeMaster has an audio diary found in Ryan Amusements, giving his friend 'Jimbo' advice on how to find and attract a woman.
