Gragas, Anivia, Ashe, Tryndamere and Nunu are allies, being Ashe the leader of the Avarosan, a tribe that has a rivalry with the Winter's Claw and with the Frostguard.
Gragas is the owner of the Avarosan Iceflow glacier, Anivia is the Guardian of Freljord, Tryndamere is Ashe's husband (and King of Freljord) and Nunu is the League of Legends Emissary of Freljord.

Ashe is a direct descendant from Avarosa, who had the same title, the Frost Archer. Carrying her bow, descending from her and being also an incredible and powerful archer, some Freljordians refer to her calling her this.

Avarosa, Serylda and Lissandra were The Three Sisters, who were rivals. This era was know as "the time of The Three Sisters".
Lissandra is the same, an ancient evil and the leader of the Frostguard. That makes her, in reality, an ancestor of Sejuani and Ashe.

True Ice is a magical ice that exists in Freljord. In the course of time, many weapons (as well as special artifacts and armors) of True Ice were created.

Quinn wrote "Journey Into The Freljord" when she was sent by Jarvan IV to gather information about this cold land. This was important to Demacia, to know what had happened in Freljord.

The Winter's Claw, lead by Sejuani, are considered to be extremely warlike and brutal. They think that peace is the same as weakness.

Sejuani has three important allies: Udyr, Olaf and Volibear.
