Wart is the final boss of "Super Mario Bros. 2", and is known as Mamu in Japan. He invaded the World of Dreams and kidnapped the race known was "Subcon". It is up to Mario and his friends to save the day!

There are four warps total. To gain access to a warp zone, you throw a magic potion on the ground, enter the door into Subcon, and go down a pipe.

World 1-3 warps to World 4, World 3-1 warps to World 5, World 4-2 warps to World 6, and World 5-3 warps to World 7.

You can beat Wart in ten levels by use of the Warp zones. You will play World 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, warp to World 4-1, 4-2, then warp to World 6 and play the last five levels of the game.

3-1 features a large waterfall. At top of the waterfall there is another portion of the level that features several mushroom blocks, enemies, and a series of clouds to the left. By stacking the mushroom blocks on these clouds you can jump over to a secret door. If you stack the blocks on the first cloud and have Luigi you can simply jump over, though on the other three characters you will need to do more.

The game manual makes a distinction between the Ninjis. The first Ninji, the one who chases you, is the devil who haunts the dreams of NES players. The description of "Ninji-2" is simply that he jumps up and down in the same place and is a strange guy.

According to the manual, Clawgrip "grows suddenly and is surprisingly skilled at throwing rocks". It is possible this refers to some gameplay concept of Clawgrip that never got into the final game, as Clawgrip does not change sizes in the actual game.

There are four main colors for Birdo in "Super Mario Bros. 2". They are pink, red, grey, and green. The pink shoots eggs. The red shoots fire and eggs. The grey and green Birdos only shoot fire and must be killed by Mushroom blocks.

Princess Daisy first appears in "Super Mario Land" for the Gameboy. Wario did not appear until "Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins". Yoshi first debuted in "Super Mario World".

"Super Mario Bros. 2" is the first game in the Mario universe you can play as a character other than Mario or Luigi.

The only difference between the American version and this version is a different title screen.
