Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many phases are there in the King Boo boss fight?

Answer: Five

First, there's a combat phase where you have to stun King Boo with spike balls. After you fail at sucking him up, you are thrown into a "Katamari section". After that, it loops again, and it ends off with sucking up King Boo, and leaving to save Mario.
2. What were the ghosts helping E. Gadd called?

Answer: Greenies

Luigi Ghosts don't exist, Slammers were introduced in Mission A-2, and Hiders were introduced in A-2 as well. The Greenies were helping E. Gadd in the Gloomy Manor when the Dark Moon was split.
3. What is the Player 2 color scheme?

Answer: Blue Shirt, Green Pants

The Peach dress was a reference to "Super Mario Adventures" and "Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga". The orange shirt is Player 3, and the pink shirt is Player 4. These are for ScareScraper, the multiplayer mode.
4. How many different Boos are there in the game?

Answer: Thirty-two

In the original "Luigi's Mansion", there were a total of fifty boos, but you only needed to capture forty. Fifty-five was never the total number of Boos required in any "Luigi" game.
5. What tool did you need to use to save Mario at the end of the game?

Answer: Dark-Light Device

The Ghost Portrificationizer was used in the original "Luigi's Mansion" to save Mario, and the Strobulb is used to stun ghosts. The hyphen is the part that makes a different, since it is dark-light, not Dark Light.
6. How many gems are there per mansion?

Answer: Thirteen

Sixty-five, however, is the total of gems in the whole game. The thirteen gems have a set order with the Round being the first, and the Mushroom being the last. After collecting each gem in a mansion, you get a statue.
7. Which area doesn't have any gems?

Answer: King Boo's Illusion

Treacherous Mansion had Diamonds, Gloomy Manor has Amethysts, and Haunted Towers has Emeralds. There are no gems in King Boo's Illusion most likely since it's only one mission.
8. What do all of the Mansion, Bonus Missions, and Boss Ghosts spell out using the first letters?

Answer: G-H-O-S-T

None of the incorrect answers have anything behind them. Try it with the mansions. It's true. It also works with the Possessors, and the missions you get when you capture all of the Boos in each mansion.
9. What is the name of the Polterpup Luigi adopts in the end of the game?

Answer: ???

Big Polterpup is in Scarescraper, and I don't know is there since it's hidden in the back of the Evershade Valley section of ghosts. The ??? was because E. Gadd didn't think of a name when you caught it.
10. What mansion is Luigi chilling in at the beginning and the end of the game?

Answer: Rank D

The Rank D mansion, as well as the Rank F and Rank H, are all from the original "Luigi's Mansion". They were decided on the amount of gold you found during the adventure.
