1. What happens to the hero, Sir Daniel Fortesque, during the initial great battle?

Answer: He is killed at the first charge

Sir Daniel Fortesque was only a story teller who was made a knight by King Peregin because of his wonderful stories. When war breaks out with the dark forces, Fortesque is made to lead the charge as the King's favourite. Of course, he is useless and dies in the first attack.

In order to save face the King makes up a heroic story along the lines of Fortesque going down after killing Zarok, but the other dead heroes know that Fortesque is no hero and thus he is not admitted to the hall of heroes.

2. What is the name of the land that Sir Daniel must save? or in another way, where is the game set?

Answer: Gallowmere

The game is set in the medieval land of Gallowmere. The land comes under threat from Lord Zarok who shrouds the place in darkness. Only our hero can lift this darkness.

3. What reward is given by the witch to Dan after he collects the amber from the Ants Nest?

Answer: A chicken bone

The chicken bone is given and can simply be used as a weapon similar to the arm. The Chalice is acquired from the fairy after releasing his other kinsmen.

4. What is the most powerful sword availiable on the game?

Answer: Magic Sword

The magic sword is gained from the hall of heroes, as is the broad sword, but earlier in the game. The short sword is the first sword which is found in Dan's Crypt. The super sword is not available on the game.

5. What two objects must Dan collect in order to make the crucifix key on the 'Sleeping Village' level?

Answer: Cast and Bust

The crucifix key unlocks a secret room where the key for the safe in which shadow artefact is held. The items are available from a house and the lower level of the tavern. The crucifix is made by melting the two objects together at the blacksmiths.

Answer: The Asylum

He is held in a prison cell in the Asylum. Dan saves him from the asylum and gains a Dragon Gem. The hedge maze is what stands in the way of the asylum and must be completed in order to reach the asylum.

Answer: Jack of the Green

Jack of the Green gives Dan four riddles to complete in order to escape from the maze. The prize is free passage through the maze.

Answer: The Gallows Gauntlet

This level contains a fiery gate which is only passable when wearing the Dragon armour. It also allows you to breathe fire.

Answer: The Boatman

The Boatman is a hooded figure who looks uncannily like the Grim Reaper. He asks Dan to collect eight souls and as a reward he transports him to the lost town of Mellowmere.

10. What is NOT required when tsking on Zarok in his lair?

Answer: Shadow Artefact

The Shadow Artefact is needed earlier in the game to release the Shadow Demons. The Good Lightning is required to top up Dan's troops, the chalice is needed to create the troops, and of course Dan is needed to participate in the game.
