Answer: Cunningham

Snake wakes up in a prison cell and is questioned by Lt. Cunningham about the whereabouts of the remainder of the Philosophers Legacy from "Operation Snake Eater". Snake answers honestly that he does not know, but Cunningham does not believe him.

Answer: Roy Campbell

This is the same Roy Campbell that acts as Solid Snake's adviser in previous "Metal Gear" games. He gives you a run-down of where you are, and what's going on.

Answer: San-Heironymo Peninsula

The San-Heironymo Peninsula is described in-game as part of the country of Colombia. It is a Soviet-controlled military base that was taken over by a man named "Gene".

Python was Snake's friend at one stage, but now follows Gene instead. He lost the ability to regulate his body temperature at an earlier time, and is now forced to wear a liquid Nitrogen suit to keep cool.

Null uses two weapons against you when you fight him. At a distance he fires at you with a machine gun, but when you get too close to him, he slashes at you with a machete. When you gain control of Null, you get to use his machete as well.

NB: Null appears in later games as "Grey Fox" and "Cyborg Ninja".

Early in the game, Campbell asks you to try recruiting enemy soldiers to join your resistance, because he senses dissension among the ranks. Regardless of where you recruit your first soldier from, his name will always be Jonathan. He eventually dies in a tragic cut-scene.

Elisa is a young woman who possesses a weak psychic ability. However, she has an alter-ego named "Ursula" who she refers to as her sister. Unlike Elisa, Ursula's psychic ability is very powerful, but she is not as forgiving as Elisa, and instead tries to kill Snake.
