Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the beginning, your ship lands in the Phazon Mines.

Answer: False

It lands in Tallon Overworld. This area plays the theme music we know and love, and the only reason we know it is because you go back and forth through this area quite a bit.
2. What is the hero's name?

Answer: Samus

Nemo is from the movie "Finding Nemo", Sally is a camel that is actually a horse. Darigan is from the "Neopets" site. And Samus Aran is the female hero of this video game.
3. What do you acquire first after landing?

Answer: Missile Launcher

Morph Ball is acquired later in the game. You can't have Boost Ball until you have the Morph Ball, and the Phazon Suit is acquired from the Omega Pirate. The Missile Launcher is obtained from the first fight against the Hive Mecha.
4. Metroids are little creatures that pop up out of the ground.

Answer: False

Metroids are the little jellyfish things.
Note: During the boss battle against Metroid Prime, his second form is just a very large Metroid. And that is why the game is called "Metroid Prime".
5. The only way to save your game is in your ship.

Answer: False

You can save your game and get your ammunition fully replenished on your ship, but they did design save stations and those allow you to save your game, and replenish your energy. You do not have to if you don't want to, but it is normally best if you save your game before you try a boss battle.
6. After you defeat the Meta Ridley, it's wings fall off.

Answer: False

Yes they do fall off, but only during the fight, and that is when he comes down to fight on the ground. He then gets even more vicious. He tries several things, and instead of trying to swoop down and hit you, he starts to try and charge to hit you.
7. What percent do you have to have at the end of the game to see Samus with her helmet off?

Answer: 70 %

When the first "Metroid Prime" game came out many people who played did not know that Samus was actually a girl. They did a great job designing her face. It is very well done. And if you finish with a high enough percentage you can unlock pictures of her face.
8. What is the maximum amount of missiles you can hold?

Answer: 250

When you acquire the Missile Launcher you have a capacity of five missiles, and after finding 49 more missile expansions you have 250. If you do the math you will find that makes each missile expansion adds five to the count.
9. How many Chozo Artifacts are there in the game?

Answer: Twelve

Get the clues at the Artifact Temple because they are hidden well all over Tallon IV. You need all twelve to fight the Meta Ridley.
10. How many morph ball bombs does it take to complete a double jump?

Answer: Three

You must use all three so that the pattern is correct. The pattern is that you lay a bomb on 1, 3, 4.
