Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who gives Mickey and Minnie their vacuum cleaner suits?

Answer: Donald

The vacuum cleaner is the first costume you find in the game. Donald gives it to Mickey and Minnie in the Haunted Circus level. You use the vacuum suit to suck up enemies and create coins from enemies.
2. Gold coins are worth how many regular coins?

Answer: 5

There are two types of coins in "The Great Circus Mystery". Regular coins are silver and will add one coin to your total. Gold coins are worth five regular coins. You can have up to 999 coins. The coins are used to buy powers and refills of powers at the stores throughout the game.
3. What kind of animal is the boss at the end of the jungle level?

Answer: Gorilla

The boss at the end of the second level is a gorilla. The best way to defeat it is to change to the climbing hook, then climb onto the trees on either side of the screen. Then when the gorilla is close enough, Mickey or Minnie can easily jump on it.
4. In what level do Mickey and Minnie get their Wild West costumes?

Answer: Haunted House

With the Wild West outfit, Mickey and Minnie can make short work of pesky little ghosts and other enemies in the Haunted House. Mickey and Minnie ride stick horses and shoot cork guns. The Wild West outfit also works to defeat the Baron Pete painting boss and the ghost boss in the Haunted House.
5. Who runs the powers and supplies stores?

Answer: Clarabell Cow

Every level except the Haunted Circus has a little general store where you can take your coins and refill your supplies. Clarabell Cow runs these stores. Mickey and Minnie can buy refills for their vacuum suits and cork guns, heart refills, an extra heart, and super versions of the vacuum costume and Wild West outfit. The super costumes have twice as much power as the regulars.
6. After Mickey and Minnie defeat Baron Pete for he first time, what does he turn into?

Answer: Dragon

When you first see Baron Pete, you have to break his skull helmet with your cork gun. After the helmet breaks off, Mickey or Minnie has to jump on Pete's head. Pete will disappear for a second, but then he comes back a second time as a dragon. The best way to get rid of the dragon is to shoot it with your cork gun.
7. What do Mickey and Minnie do with Pete's magic ball?

Answer: They throw it off the castle balcony

After Baron Pete has been defeated, Mickey and Minnie are reunited (no matter which character you played as), and they decide to get rid of Pete's magic ball. They take it out on the balcony and toss it far away from the castle. Mickey is only kidding when he asks Pluto if he wants to play fetch with it.
8. How many coins does the super vacuum outfit cost?

Answer: 300

The super vacuum outfit costs 300 coins. It uses half the energy of the regular sweeper outfit. This outfit mostly comes in need to defeat the cloud boss in the Frozen Plains.
9. Does "The Great Circus Mystery" have passwords?

Answer: Yes

If Mickey or Minnie runs out of lives, you will be asked if you want to continue. If you choose "yes", you will be returned to the start of the level where you ran out of lives. If you choose "no", you will be given a password. It will be some combination of four Disney characters from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, or Pluto.
10. "The Great Circus Mystery starring Mickey and Minnie" is very similar to what other Mickey game for the Super Nintendo?

Answer: Mickey's Magical Quest

Both "The Great Circus Mystery" and "Mickey's Magical Quest" were created by Capcom in the early '90s. In both games, Mickey changes into three special costumes. In "Magical Quest", he gets a wizard costume, a fireman's suit, and a mountainclimber's suit.

The Dark Forest level is similar to the Jungle in "Circus Mystery". Both games have a level of snow and ice, and both have general stores where you can buy powers. Pete, who is a long-time rival of Mickey's in the cartoons, is the boss at the end of both games. "Mickey Mania" is a quest through a timeline of some of Mickey's most famous cartoons. "Mickey's Ultimate Challenge" is a puzzle game for younger players. "Mickey's Playtown Adventure" is also an activity game for younger players.
