Question 1 of 10
1. Which Neverwinter Dragon says the following quote, in a particularly condescending tone of voice?

"You are fools for attacking me!"
Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. If someone was attempting to solo Malabog's Castle, and they had an Item Level around the 13,000 range or higher, they would probably find running the dungeon up to Fulminorax to be fairly straightforward, and require little in the manner of critical thinking or fast decision making. However, for even the game's best players, that all goes out the door upon reaching Fulminorax. The player will need a multitude of things, including a hard hitting companion. Why is a hard hitting companion vital to have? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. One of the primary antagonists of the Cloaked Ascendancy campaign is Kabal the Fire Soul. A key piece of Kabal's background is that, while he may be incredibly powerful and imposing now, he used to be extremely sickly and weak. He may now be Kabal "the Fire Soul" but he used to carry a much more degrading title that he mentions a few times in your limited interactions with him in the beginning of the campaign. What is this title? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. As you infiltrate the Nashers' headquarters, masked by the Appearance Change ordered for you by Kavatos Stormeye, you will come upon a familiar ally - or so you thought - providing aid to the enemy forces. Who is the traitor?

Answer: (Female )

5. On the Bryan Shander map, there is a unique, largely unknown, and difficult to find Easter egg that can be found on the outskirts of the city. A prominent NPC is seen fighting off two Polar Bears and a Winter Wolf. Who is the NPC? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. In your first run at the Plague Tower, you have to defeat Plaguechanged Linkletter on two different occasions. It would seem to have been curtains for Josef, but alas, he would actually turn out to be just fine. When is the next time you meet him, and what is he now doing? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. In the Assault on Svardborg, the party has two chances to defeat Starvold. If they lose both chances, they fail the trial. Canonically speaking, what happens? Hint

Question 8 of 10

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Neverwinter Dragon says the following quote, in a particularly condescending tone of voice? "You are fools for attacking me!"

Answer: Karrandux

After flying away briefly, once you've lowered him to seventy five percent health, Karrandux will utter this quote towards you, almost as if he is trying to hold back a laugh while saying this. Right as he says this line, Karrandux will summon some Drakes to help him in the fight.

Answer: Such a companion can release the player from Valindra's death choke before it kills the player

This task is absolutely essential to fill out; if Valindra's death choke kills the player, they cannot revive themselves with a Mass Scroll of Life, ending the fight then and there. Thankfully, Valindra is incredibly frail as she chokes you out; three decent or two hard hits should be sufficient to break you out of the choke. For this reason, a Striker companion is recommended for the task. As for myself, when I soloed Malabog's Castle, I took the Blacksmith Striker Companion with me, and he consistently warded off Valindra in two hits. Without a hard hitting companion, completing this fight solo becomes absolutely impossible, but with one, completing this fight becomes much more doable.

Answer: The Frail

Kabal the Fire Soul is an Arcane Fire Archon that was resuscitated by Gyrion. Gyrion took his life essence, fused it with Arcane Power, and rebirthed Kabal, due to the fact that Kabal's body was too riddled with Spellplague to be used again. Before this happened, Kabal was a very sickly, weak man who often struggled to even lift the robes he wore on his body.

He proudly talks up his resurgence in his new body, and as a boss, he is difficult to slay.
4. As you infiltrate the Nashers' headquarters, masked by the Appearance Change ordered for you by Kavatos Stormeye, you will come upon a familiar ally - or so you thought - providing aid to the enemy forces. Who is the traitor?

Answer: Celeste

As you rushed Lord Neverember to safety in the River District, Celeste abandoned you and ran away from the boat you were trying to board after questioning Neverember about Gyrion's claims. However, nobody could have predicted she would do something as despicable as provide aid to the Nashers.

After the infiltration, Kavatos will casually express his disappointment in Celeste, adding that he wishes you could've captured her in your raid.
5. On the Bryan Shander map, there is a unique, largely unknown, and difficult to find Easter egg that can be found on the outskirts of the city. A prominent NPC is seen fighting off two Polar Bears and a Winter Wolf. Who is the NPC?

Answer: Kavatos Stormeye

Kavatos, along with an unnamed adventurer, are seen fighting these animals off. There is no context provided as to why Kavatos is even here, yet there he is. The catch is, he can only be seen for a total of twenty minutes each day. You don't gain anything in particular for locating him, nor do you gain anything from helping him fight these animals off, but you should think of it more as a random, inconsequential cameo appearance from everyone's favorite brash Arcane Brotherhood Wizard.
6. In your first run at the Plague Tower, you have to defeat Plaguechanged Linkletter on two different occasions. It would seem to have been curtains for Josef, but alas, he would actually turn out to be just fine. When is the next time you meet him, and what is he now doing?

Answer: The Chasm, as a new Neverwinter Captain

You run into Linkletter completely unexpectedly at the Chasm. Here, he seems very pleased to see you and informs you that he has recently been promoted to Captain of the Neverwinter Guard that has been stationed in the Chasm. He suggests he has regained most of his senses and control over his body. Even still, his face is still horribly deformed as a result of the Spellplague.
7. In the Assault on Svardborg, the party has two chances to defeat Starvold. If they lose both chances, they fail the trial. Canonically speaking, what happens?

Answer: Harshnag the Grim warns the player of Starvold's incoming army and locks the entrance into Svardborg shut to buy them time to escape

Once the final player of the party has fallen dead on the second try, a cutscene will trigger. Harshnag, wide eyed, will loudly proclaim that Storvald's army is on the way, before he seals the entrance shut with cold magic. At this point, reentry into Svardborg will become impossible, and the party will be forced to dissolve completely.
8. Linu's Favors are difficult to obtain, but essential campaign currency for Tyranny of Dragons. Sixteen total are needed to complete the campaign. How many different ways can the player obtain them?

Answer: Three

There are three different ways one could go about obtaining Linu's Favors. The first, and arguably most pragmatic way is to win the Trial of Tiamat. The second is to donate 1,500 Treasurer to the coffee in the Well of Dragons. The third and easiest way of doing so is to fish out Treasures or Tiamat at the Winter Festival and giving them to the Travelling Merchant in Twilight Tor in exchange for Linu's Favors.
9. In the Jungle of Chult, there exists one Heroic Encounter entailing the slaying of a massive, vicious Tyrannosaurus Rex. You'll need at least six people to take this monster on. What is its name?

Answer: King of Spines

More affectionately known as "KOS", this is one bad T Rex. While it is true that is simply a glorified version of a normal T Rex, this is still saying a lot; a normal T Rex is extremely difficult in itself to take on. King of Spikes has multiple ways he can kill his target in one hit. As such, it is highly recommended to seek out a good Tank to defend against this.
10. Fill in the blank of this quote: "Where there's one Quickling, there's usually _____."

Answer: More

This quote is stated many times by an NPC in New Sharandar. It is stated as a warning for the player to heed, that Quicklings always travel in packs.
