1. Scarlet, lifeless salvation

Answer: Red Dead Redemption

"Red Dead Redemption" was a 2010 open world Western game released by Rockstar Games for the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. The main character was John Marston, who was made to go after his former gang by the U.S. government.
2. Acoustic the spiny mammal

Answer: Sonic the Hedgehog

Sega released "Sonic the Hedgehog" for Sega Genesis in 1991. This platform game took the blue hedgehog through levels after his enemy Dr. Robotnik. Along the way he collected rings and Chaos Emeralds and freed the animals.
3. Intruders from the cosmos

Answer: Space Invaders

"Space Invaders" was originally an arcade game from 1978, but a version of it was released in 1980 for the Atari 2600. The object was to shoot the aliens with a laser cannon that could be moved horizontally across the bottom of the screen.
4. Cry of responsibility

Answer: Call of Duty

The first game in the "Call of Duty" series was originally released solely for the PC, but was later made available for consoles. The game was well received in 2003 and won several awards. This first person shooter game has now become a series that has been very popular.

Other games in the series include: "Call of Duty: World at War", "Call of Duty: Black Ops", and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" (1,2, and 3). The first few games in the series were set in World War II, but the "Modern Warfare" trilogy included a more modernized war, and "Black Ops" was set during the Vietnam War and Cold War.
5. Cogs of battle

Answer: Gears of War

The game was an exclusive for XBox 360, but a PC version was later released. This third-person shooter game followed Delta Squad as they fought to save the planet Sera from the Locust Horde. The main character was a soldier, also known as a 'gear', named Marcus Fenix, who was part of COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments).
6. Adolescent, abnormal tortoises that practice martial arts

Answer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The first "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" video game was released in 1989 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. All four turtles were playable characters in this platform game that took them through sewers and other areas, fighting against Foot Soldiers and other enemies, to make it to Shredder. The turtles could restore their health by eating pizza they found along the way.
7. Road brawler

Answer: Street Fighter

"Street Fighter" debuted as an arcade game in 1987 by Capcom. Unlike later games in the series in which players could choose their fighter, in the first "Street Fighter", the main player was Ryu, who took part in a martial arts tournament. If a second player joined in, then they played as Ken, who was Ryu's rival.
8. Bang the marsupial

Answer: Crash Bandicoot

Sony released this platform game in 1996 for the PlayStation. The main character, Crash Bandicoot, set out to save his girlfriend Tawna and defeat Dr. Neo Cortex, who created him. Crash was helped along the way by Aku Aku, a witch doctor spirit in the form of masks.
9. Thief of the catacomb

Answer: Tomb Raider

"Tomb Raider" was released for the Sega Saturn in 1996, but later made available for PC and PlayStation. The main character, Lara Croft, was an archaeologist that searched for treasure in tombs and other places. In this game, she was in search of the Scion artifacts. Not only did the game lead to the production of a series of video games, but it also was the basis for a couple of movies.
10. Fatal fight

Answer: Mortal Kombat

"Mortal Kombat", like "Street Fighter", was originally an arcade game (1992) that was later released for home consoles. The games in the "Mortal Kombat" series were known for being violent, especially the inclusion of Fatalities. Fatalities were especially gruesome finishing moves unique to each fighter in the game.
