Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Mario returns to Toad Town after finishing Chapter 3 to find several thefts in progress. Which of these is not stolen?

Answer: Crystal Ball

While one of Koopa Koot's errands involves delivering a crystal ball to Merluvee at Shooting Star Summit, the item does not appear in regards to this event. Tayce T. loses her favourite frying pan, Rolf (at the Badge Shop) loses his Calculator preventing purchases, and a Toad near Mario's pipe loses his Dictionary to a Shy Guy. Even Luigi has some trouble with a Shy Guy bouncing around Mario's house and the Post Office loses its mailbag.

The final theft occurs in one of Toad Town's shops as a Shy Guy runs away with the storeroom key. See what happens when Mario leaves the city for the day?
2. Which party member is required to discover the entrance to Shy Guy's Toy Box?

Answer: Bow

Bow, added to the group in the previous chapter, is the only one who can help Mario in this instance. Investigating the string of thefts in Toad Toad will lead Mario to a single corner house in Toad Town's west end. When Mario enters, the place will be seemingly empty, but upon pressing C-down and turning invisible, Mario can watch as a Shy Guy enters the room, checks if the coast is clear, and jumps through a hidden wall panel. Entering this, Mario can take a jump off a springy platform and hop into Shy Guy's Toy Box to begin the chapter's main event.
3. Depending on how you answered questions as Princess Peach at the end of the previous chapter determines the surprises left for Mario in Shy Guy's Toy Box. Who leaves these 'surprises' for Mario?

Answer: Kammy Koopa

After being found outside her room at the end of Chapter 3, Bowser and Kammy asked Princess Peach some very important questions about Mario, usually involving things that would hinder his journey through the dungeon. Peach is given the choice of leaving enemies for Mario to fight or otherwise harmless objects that would actually help him out (ie. Mushrooms and Syrups). Three of these appear throughout the Shy Guy's Toy Box at different locations, but it's the player's choice as to what happens.
4. The Toy Train dropped into the Toy Box can stop at how many stations?

Answer: Four

As soon as Mario is able to claim the Storeroom Key, he can visit the shop in Toad Town to pick up some free items and the Toy Train. On Mario's next visit to the box, he can drop the Toy Train in from outside so that he can place it on the tracks within. Now, Mario can make his way around the various stations in Shy Guy's Toy Box, each one denoted by a particular colour.

In order to make the full loop, Mario will need to proceed around the entire track flipping switches and making sure it's safe to travel. Each station contains a save point.
5. Which of these items will remove Gourmet Guy from his spot in the Toy Box?

Answer: Cake

Defeating some of the Shy Guys at Blue Station (where Mario finds the Calculator) will all for him to collect Cake Mix. Upon recovering Tayce T.'s Frying Pan in a chest near Pink Station, Mario will once more be able to partake in the cooking of Tayce T.'s recipes. Upon returning the item, Mario will be given a slice of this delicious cake, but he can always make more for himself using the Cake Mix. Once Mario feeds it to Gourmet Guy, he'll rant and rave about how delicious the cake is.

In his haste to leave, Gourmet Guy will drop a Cookbook which Mario can give to Tayce T. so that she can create recipes with two items instead of one.
6. Lantern Guy can be found down a path at which station?

Answer: Red

The final station, the Red Station, plays host to a number of bad guys. Taking the left path from the station will inevitably bring you to a dark room containing Lantern Guy, whose lantern is the only source of light available. During battle, Mario and his party will need to attack the lantern in order to make it bright enough in the room to see and attack the opponent. Every once in a while, however, Lantern Guy will blow out the light and this process will need to start all over again. After Mario runs through 40HP, the battle will end.

The only thing to watch out for is an attack during which Lantern Guy will create beams of light. Nothing that can't be handled though0 the Shy Guys outside are likely tougher.
7. What is the name of the party member obtained after defeating Lantern Guy?

Answer: Watt

Once Lantern Guy flees the scene, Mario can break open the lantern he leaves behind to free Watt, an electric little guy who will join the party without any hassle to help Mario and his friends defeat Bowser. When C-down is pressed, Mario can hold onto Watt to reveal secret blocks. Watt starts with Electro Dash and Power Shock as offensive moves, but if you can find the Super Rank block in the adjacent room, Watt will also learn Turbo Charge, an upgrade that will temporarily raise Mario's attack power.
8. Which of these Shy Guy enemies does not appear during the fight with General Guy?

Answer: Medi Guy

Going across the right side chambers of the Red Station, Mario will inevitably come across General Guy and his forces in their chambers. A battle will ensue in which General Guy will submit his forces to a pummeling. This begins with a wave of Shy Guys known as the Shy Squad. With a total of fifteen Shy Guys in their group, they can seriously hurt Mario if he doesn't clear them out. Two Stilt Guys will appear soon after to protect General Guy in his toy vehicle and following these, two Shy Stacks (four Shy Guys stacked on one another) will be called upon.

After this, you need to defeat General Guy and his tank. Most certainly you should be taking out his damaging lightbulb first. After this, the tank is only 30HP.
9. What is the name of the Star Spirit found in Shy Guy's Toy Box?

Answer: Muskular

The fourth of seven Star Spirits, Muskular is a sailor as well as a star (as shown by his hat). After defeating the army of Shy Guys, Mario can from Muskular and end the chapter. For freeing this one, Mario be given another bar of his Star Power meter (bringing the total to four) and he'll receive the new Star Power, 'Chill Out'.

When cast, Muskular will descend from the heavens and diminish enemy attack power by 3. This will come at the cost of two Star Power.
10. Peach, meanwhile, is still biding her time in her castle in the sky. What does she do after Mario completes this chapter?

Answer: Bakes a cake

Princess Peach, tempting fate once more, decides to leave the room again through the secret fireplace exit. When she comes across a dining room, she comes across everyone's favourite gourmand, Gourmet Guy, who decides to not announce that the Princess has escaped...only if she cooks for him.

She is given a key to head to the castle's kitchen to prepare a dish which (obviously) turns out to be cake. It's a Strawberry Cake to be precise. Mini-games ensue as the Princess mixes, beats, cooks, and cleans the kitchen.

When she returns the cake to Gourmet Guy, he's elated and accidentally gives away their position. Luckily, they discover the next destination first.
