Ankiseth is Magnus' father and former guardian of Prince Yumil. Ankiseth is one of the few characters that comes with a full group and can be a powerful instrument for your army. He can be recruited at Westinus (Scene 18) if you choose to meet with the Western Division envoy before the battle.

Being a Hawkman, Sheen ages slower than normal humans; despite his young appearance Sheen is actually in his 70s. To recruit Sheen, you must have a moderate to low Chaos Frame when you reach the Azure Plains map (Scene 16). His age leads him to believe he is a ladies' man, so sending a female leader to recruit him results in some interesting dialogue.

Answer: Werewolf

Biske looks human if you fight him during the daytime, but at night he transforms into his wolf form and is much deadlier earning him the nickname The Beast. Unlike most other characters, Biske requires you to have a low Chaos Frame and no Zenobians in your army, otherwise he chooses to die instead.

Answer: Centurion

When you encounter her in the Celesis map (Scene 22) she is in command of a group of her own. If she survives the map and, preferably, encounters the boss once, she will choose to join your forces and bring the Centurion class to your army.

The third of the fork choice characters, Paul is an enchanter with an unfortunate past. Having turned his friend to stone and believing he is the reason for the appearance of the demons, Paul has had to endure the nickname of the Devil Child.

Kaus Debonair is one of the Zenobians and a great addition to any army. Obtained during Tremos Mounatins Part 2 (Scene 26), he will only join if your Chaos Frame is relatively high and you have recruited all previous Zenobians.

Answer: Gilbert

Destin was the main character from the original "Ogre Battle" game for the SNES. He deemed it necessary to assist those of Palatinus after seeing the oppression in the Southern region mirroring that of Zenobia. Like Debonair before him, he will only join if you have a high Chaos Frame and all of the previous Zenobians.

The last of the Zenobians, Gilbert is a Beast Master who, at this point in the game, may be a little under powered. Gilbert is the hardest character to recruit, due to the fact that you must have all four of the previous Zenobians join you (Aisha, Saradin, Debonair, and Destin) as well as a near perfect Chaos Frame to that point.

Answer: Siren

Meredia is a childhood friend of Leia's and decides to join your army if Leia is still alive by Fair Heights (Scene 21). As a siren, she possesses powerful area spells that can bolster the damage output of any unit.

Answer: Black Knight

Carth the Disillusioned can be recruited during Ptia (Scene 32). To persuade him to join, you must have no Zenobians in your army and a low-mid Chaos Frame. When you meet him, he will immediately head to encounter the map boss, and, if he survives, will join your forces if the conditions are met.
