To get Quistis to learn her 'Shockwave Pulsar' attack for her Limit Break, refine 100 Curse Spikes using "Tool-RF" and the result is a Dark Matter. You can Mug Curse Spikes off a Tri-Face and they drop Curse Spikes. Forbidden, Creeps, Grand Mantis, Malboro and Imp drops Curse Spikes.

9. Where does Quistis take Squall for a field exam?

Answer: Fire Cavern

Quistis takes Squall to Fire Cavern to obtain GF Ifrit. You go to Dollet for the SeeD Mission. You go to Timber to do a SeeD Mission and to get Rinoa to join your party. Centra Ruins is where you obtain GF Odin and GF Tonberry.
