Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. South, and then west of Sootopolis City is a small town. What is the name of this quiet place?

Answer: Pacifidlog Town

Pacifidlog Town has a Pokémon center and a few houses (no Contest Building, nor Mart). The entire town afloat in the water. There is honestly not much to do here. Trade a Bellossom for a Corsola (even though you can catch your own), get either TM 27 (Return) or TM 21 (Frustration) from the Pokémon Fan Club Chairmans' brother. And finally, a man will tell you of Mirage Island, an island that appears and disappears.
2. What can be found on Route 132, Route 133, and Route 134?

Answer: Currents

West of Pacifidlog Town there are three routes connected together end-to-end that will take you back to Slateport City. They all have currents, making the trip extremely fast. There will be a few places to stop, a few trainers to battle, and a few items to pick up, though, so you'll want to get through the currents more than once.
3. Evergrand City is not much of a city. There are two parts to it. The southern half and the northern half. Together they have two buildings. But to get up to Evergrand City, you need HM 07 (Waterfall). You have probably had it all this time and your Pokémon have used it in battle, but where did you get it?

Answer: In the Cave of Origin

HM 07 can be found lying in the Cave of Origin when you're working down to Groudon or Kyogre. It's just sitting in a corner off to the side, no strings attached, etc. You probably just grabbed it and ran forward, ready to fight the Legendary Pokémon, totally forgetting about it for the moment. If you did get this question right, your mind must be a memory trap; good job.
4. The two halves of Evergrand City are connected by Victory Road. What is Victory Road?

Answer: A cave

Victory Road has been a classic area for the "Pokémon" series. It's a big cave with no one way through it, and numerous trainers to slow you down.
5. Which key character battles you at the end of Victory Road?

Answer: Wally

Wally has grown a lot. If you have ever thought about it, you'll have noticed that you have only ever battled Wally once before, and that was when he had his puny Ralts. All five of his Pokémon (yeah, he caught some more) are in their forties. He has a few particularly annoying ones like Altaria, Delicatty, and Roselia. Having a trainer like this at the end of something as big as Victory Road is brutal. Your Pokémon may be running low on health, and will probably be running low on PP (Power Points tell you how many times you can use a certain attack.

The only way to get them back is by using rare items, that you cannot buy, or healing them at a Pokémon Center).
6. At the Pokémon League, heal your Pokémon, buy your healing items, and head on in. Elite Four Sidney tends to use which type of Pokémon?

Answer: Dark

Sydney has a Mightyena, a Cacturne, an Absol, a Shiftry, and a Sharpedo, all of which are half Dark. Sydney's Pokémon are all in the early forties, but they are not too hard to beat.
7. What kind of Pokémon does Elite Four Phoebe use?

Answer: Ghost

Two Dusclops, two Banettes, and a Sableye. These Pokémon are not much more difficult than Sydney's, but this time your Psychic attacks can hit some of your opponents.
8. Elite Four Glacia has two Glalie, two Sealeo, and a Walrein. Either Sealeo or Glalie can evolve into Walrein (but not in battle). Which one?

Answer: Sealeo

This will probably be your first truly difficult Elite Four match. All of Glacia's Pokémon are in their early fifties, and have a wide variety of attacks to combat virtually anything you throw at her. This battle will probably have to be won through sheer strength of attacks.
9. Which of these Pokémon does Elite Four Drake NOT have?

Answer: Xatu

Elite Four Drake has a Shelgon, an Altaria, two Flygons, and a Salamence. All are between levels 52 and 55. Don't take this battle lightly, and make sure to heal after, before the final battle.
10. What kind of Pokémon does Elite Four Drake use?

Answer: Dragon

All of Drake's Pokémon are at least half Dragon, the only pure Dragon being Shelgon. Altaria and Salamence are both Dragon/Flying, so Electric attacks are good, and both have a double weakness to Ice attacks. Flygons are Ground/Dragon, so Electric attacks don't have any effect, but they have a lot of weaknesses.
