Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Dictator

Answer: Tyrant

Tyrant is the final boss of the game, a Bio-Organic Weapon (a-go-go) with great resilience to anything that shoots bullets. Although knocking the creature out in the basement of the Spencer Mansion's labs should be fairly easy, taking it down with conventional weapons will not. If you chip away at its health until Brad Vickers comes by with a Rocket Launcher, however, you might just be able to escape the mansion incident unharmed...and intact.
2. Dormitory

Answer: Residence

The Residence is a building located behind the Spencer Mansion in the woods surrounded by the Arklay Mountains. This location was originally used to house not only Umbrella scientists working on the T-Virus, but laboratories beneath containing animals of different types.

This particular location contained a shark tank. The Residence is also the home of Plant 42, a plant infected by T-Virus cells in one of the main rooms of the building. It's not a safe place; it's just as unsafe as the Spencer Mansion.
3. Pigment Strip

Answer: Ink Ribbon

Ink Ribbons are small, but important items needed for you to save your progress in the game and, get this, they're limited and can only be used on typewriters found in specific rooms in the game. Talk about tension-inducing. The Ink Ribbons stack in your inventory, so you can hold as many canisters you want at any given time provided you take up one slot. Luckily, item chests can usually be found in the same rooms as typewriters. Remember to conserve though!
4. Jack's Partner and February Holiday Lover

Answer: Jill Valentine

Jill is one of two playable characters in "Resident Evil", the other being Chris Redfield. Both members of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team situated in Raccoon City, they're called to the Spenser Mansion to investigate the disappearance of the Bravo Team; they were sent to the forest to investigate some weird goings-on and most didn't survive. Jill returns as a playable character in "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis" while Chris comes back in "Code Veronica X" and "Resident Evil 5" and "6". Jill is commonly regarded as the easier of the two because her campaign allows for stronger weapons, less enemies, and more inventory space than Chris.
5. Red Skull

Answer: Crimson Head

Crimson Head is the secondary form of the everyday, run-of-the-mill zombie, but you'll like them less than the shambling kinds. If you don't burn or decapitate a zombie after killing it in this game, it'll come back as a Crimson Head, a much more frightening zombie with longer claws and a hungrier appetite.

As such it can run and attack with more ferocity than is necessary. When you kill a Crimson Head, it won't come back. Makes you think twice about killing things...that's for sure.
6. Verdant, edible root

Answer: Green Herb

Green Herbs are quite important for experienced and new players alike because they form the building blocks of health regeneration. Green Herbs are the most basic while Red Herbs enhance their power and Blue Herbs heal poison. All of these herbs can also be combined in your inventory to create stronger healing items; combining Green, Red, and Blue will automatically give full health when consumed. Alternatively, you could use a First Aid Spray (they make those?) to heal yourself in dire situations.
7. Concerto Paper

Answer: Musical Score

The Musical Score is created when the player combines two halves of a torn up piece of music, one piece of which is in the servants' quarters behind a wardrobe near the attic and the other of which is behind some shelves in the piano room. When the item is repaired, Jill or Rebecca Chambers can play the piece on the piano (Chris can't, which is unlucky) to open a secret chamber and reveal a Gold Emblem.

This ultimately leads to a new key (the Shield Key) to be used on the door to the attic.
8. Monthly Publication for a Pistol

Answer: Handgun Magazine

Handgun Magazines are found throughout the game-- one of your most basic weapons in the game (certainly the most basic firearm) is the Handgun and it will prove to be a friend in rough times. A Handgun Magazine picked up by any character will contain fifteen bullets and can be reloaded from the inventory screen or during the game when the gun is emptied. Because of its prevalence in the game, these magazines are the most common ammo found in the Spencer Mansion and outlying areas. Like Ink Ribbons, they stack in your inventory.
9. Sign of Fatigue

Answer: Yawn

Yawn, one of the earlier bosses of the game, is a giant snake infected with the T-Virus who can be found once in the Spencer Mansion attic and again in the library. Armed with a fierce bite and the ability to poison your character, Yawn will open the way to one of the Death Masks and a Book of Curse. If you're playing as Jill and you happen to be nice enough to give a Serum to an ailing Richard in a nearby hallway, he'll get eaten by the snake (not intentionally) and drop his Assault Shotgun. Finders keepers!
10. Japanese Warrior Blade

Answer: Samurai Edge

Okay, so you've beaten most of the campaign difficulties and you're running out of things to do. Have you done a speed run? If you beat the normal difficulty of the game (Mountain Climbing) in less than five hours you'll end up winning the Samurai Edge, a handgun with better decapitation chances and infinite ammo you can claim from the item box at any time. If you beat normal difficulty in less than three hours you get a start-of-game Rocket Launcher and if you beat any difficulty you get the Closet Key to begin unlocking new costumes for Chris and Jill.
