1. Which of these is not required for remodeling up to the Lion Heart gunblade?

Answer: Energy Crystal

The Lion Heart Gunblade requires 1 Adamantine, 12 Pulse Ammo, and 4 Dragon Fangs. Energy Crystals can, however, help with getting the Pulse Ammos through Ifrit's Ammo-RF.

Answer: Tri-Point

Krysta provides another opportunity at Carbuncle, Trauma can give Leviathan, and Catoblepas keeps Alexander. Tri-Point has the other Siren opportunity, and if your party has 100 Thundagas junctioned to all of their Elem-Def, the battle against him is a breeze.

3. Which of these are the title of the theme song of Final Fantasy VIII?

Answer: Eyes on Me

"Suteki da ne" is the theme to "Final Fantasy X" (translates roughly to "Isn't it Wonderful?"). "Memories of Life" is "Final Fantasy IX's" theme. "Kiss Me Goodbye" is the theme to "Final Fantasy XII," and is the only song that Nobuo Uematsu had a hand in for the game. "Eyes on Me" has plot significance in "FF8" as a song that Julia Heartilly writes and records after she gets inspired by Laguna Loire.

Answer: Fury Fragment

Steel Pipes provide Berserk, Dragon Skin gives Reflect, and Curse Spike is Pain. Unfortunately, Fury Fragments are fairly difficult to get, primarily being dropped or stolen only from Blue Dragons, and the even fiercer Red Dragons as a rare drop.

5. One of the normal six playable characters in "Final Fantasy VIII" has a Limit Break that is only acquired after a certain point in the storyline. Which character is it?

Answer: Rinoa Heartilly

After it's discovered that Rinoa is a Sorceress, she acquires the Angel Wing Limit Break, which acts like Berserk. However, she starts casting random spells, even ones she doesn't have in her spell inventory, at severely boosted power.

6. Tonberry gives you the ability to buy things from any shop that you've visited in the game with Call Shop. What is the ability it can give that puts new items in those shops?

Answer: Familiar

Haggle only reduces the price on items. New Item and Rare Buy aren't real abilities. Familiar makes it where even Megalixirs are possible to be bought from certain shops.

7. Which magazine in the game allows you to get the Shiva Triple Triad card from Zone?

Answer: Girl Next Door

If you give Zone the Girl Next Door magazine while he's on the White SeeD Ship, he'll give you the Shiva card in exchange. Weapons Monthly and Pet Pals allow you to get the formulas for new weapons and new Limit Breaks for Rinoa, respectively. Figures the second-in-command of the Forest Owls is a closet pervert.

8. Who has Squall's Triple Triad card?

Answer: Laguna Loire

Cid has Seifer's card, Ma Dincht has Zells, and Edea has her own. Laguna carries Squall's, thus furthering the suspicions that he may well be Squall's father.

9. Who is the last character seen during the ending credits movie?

Answer: Rinoa Heartilly

Selphie is seen just as the movie starts and Irvine soon after. Quistis is seen not long after Irvine. Rinoa is seen after Angelo runs across the floor.

10. Who is the only character that Squall doesn't end up remembering from the orphanage?

Answer: Irvine Kinneas

Squall makes a remark during the flashback sequence that he doesn't remember Irvine when they were kids, but he definitely knew everyone else. He blames the GF for the fact that he didn't remember him (or many of the events that happened at the orphanage).
