Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which one of these characters can block without pressing a single button?

Answer: Link

Link's shield actually blocks projectiles in this game. The easiest projectiles to block are from Staryu's Swift attack. And all you have to do is stand there and make sure they hit the shield. (Young Link can do this as well, but it's a little trickier.)
2. What color is the Options menu?

Answer: Yellow

When you highlight the 1-P Mode menu, it is blue. The Vs. Mode menu is red when highlighted. The Data menu is purple when highlighted. What more can I say? If all of them were the same color, that'd be a little bland, don't you think?
3. How many options are there in the Custom Rules?

Answer: 13

There are 13: Rules, Time Limit, Handicap, Damage Ratio, Stage Selection, Item Switch, Additional Rules, Stock Match Time Limit, Friendly Fire, Pause, Score Display, Self-Destructs, and Random Stage.
4. How many characters in the game can Wall Kick (excluding Young Link) with only the Control Stick?

Answer: 7

Seven other fighters can use that ability. They are Mario, Fox, Falco, Pichu, Samus, C. Falcon, and Sheik. Wall Kicks are useful for dodging attacks and getting an extra boost for reaching the stage. (On a side note, all characters can Wall Kick when they are knocked into a wall and you press R and tap the Control Stick away from the wall.)
5. Which of these characters can deflect a projectile without claiming it as his/her own?

Answer: Mewtwo

Mewtwo's Confusion (Smash B) can flip opponents over, but it can also send projectiles flying the other way. However, the projectile will not become Mewtwo's (therefore, it won't hit the one that threw it). Zelda's Nayru's Love (B) and Falco's Reflector (Down B) both deflect projectiles and make them their own. DK can only deflect by Power Shielding, which makes projectiles weaker.

But they still become his.
6. In Final Destination, how many dimensions do you go through?

Answer: 5

They are in this order (I named these): Space, Cyber Tunnel, Wormhole to Reality, Reality, Wormhole to Space. Space is the default dimension. The Cyber Tunnel is after Space, where you travel down. The Wormhole to Reality is a rush through a purple and blue wormhole. Reality is where you travel through mountains and clouds (which are on both the top and bottom).

The Wormhole to Space is the passageway to first dimension. And the cycle resumes...
7. Which of these characters has the weakest projectile (single hit)?

Answer: Fox

Kirby's two projectiles, Final Cutter (Up B) and Spit (B then when you have someone in your mouth, Z), do a maximum of 6% and 18% damage, respectively. Mr. Game & Watch's Chef (B) does a maximum of 4%. Pichu's Thunder Jolt (B) has a maximum of 10%. Fox's Blaster (B) has a maximum of just 3%, making him the weakest of these 4 projectile-wise.
8. How many characters have headgear (default costume)?

Answer: 16

I don't know what all of them are called, but these are the different types of things worn on the characters' heads: Caps (Mario, Luigi, Ness, Link, Young Link), Helmets (Samus, C. Falcon), Hoods (Ice Climbers, both of them), Crown (Peach), Tiara (Marth, Zelda), Crystal/Gems (Ganondorf), Communicator (Fox), Headband (Roy, Dr. Mario). Because I said default costume, Kirby, Pichu, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Sheik don't count.
9. How many characters are blonde (including Sheik, excluding Samus)?

Answer: 5

Peach, Zelda, Sheik, Link, and Young Link are all blondes. The only character here that can have different colored hair out of these fighters is Peach, who, with Daisy's costume, can become a redhead.
10. And for the last question...which character is one of the only two whose Up B move increases in height when enlarged and decreases in height when shrunken?

Answer: Mr. Game & Watch

Only Mr. Game & Watch's Fire and the Ice Climbers' Belay increase in height when enlarged and decrease in height when shrunken. Belay's height differences are a bit hard to notice if you're not on Final Destination, but Fire is a different story. If you don't notice that, you're not paying attention!
