The Endar Spire, which was the correct answer, was in the process of being overran when you awaken. How so many sith warriors can storm upon the ship while you remain in slumber is still a complete mystery, but it happened.

Answer: Darth Malak

Darth Bandon, the name of the apprentice, was the diabolical prodigy of Malak. After discovering a few of the star maps, Bandon confronts the main character and is slain.
