Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the most basic Zerg unit in which you mutate into all other Zerg units from Drones to Ultralisks?

Answer: Larva

The Larva contains the DNA for every Zerg strain that is currently available to the base. As you upgrade your base, more DNA will become available to you which will allow you to mutate your Larvae into more complex Zerg units. You don't have to worry about making them either as they spawn automatically from your Hatchery, Lair, or Hive free of charge.
2. What's the name of the Zerg unit that will gather resources for you and mutate into structures when commanded to?

Answer: Drone

Drones are very cheap to produce and mutate from Larva very quickly; all you need is 50 minerals, that's it. As you upgrade your Hatchery into a Lair and then into a Hive, more building options will become available for your Drones to mutate into.
3. What is the name of the floating unit that when spawned, will increase your unit supply so you may grow a bigger army?

Answer: Overlord

If used and upgraded correctly, Overlords can effectively transport other Zerg troops across the map or to hard-to-get-to areas. You can mutate Larvae into them directly for 100 minerals.
4. What is the name of the small and fast ground attack unit that a single Larva will produce two of?

Answer: Zergling

Zerglings are very weak by themselves but if you manage to create a fairly large swarm of them the results can be devastating. When using Zerglings be sure to watch out for enemy units that use fire weapons such as the Terran's Hellion.
5. What's the name of the unit you spawn directly from your Hatchery, Lair, or Hive that will help you produce more Larvae and increase the size of your Creep?

Answer: Queen

Not only will the Queen make Larvae and increase the size of your Creep, she will also heal units/buildings and can be utilized as an anti-air unit which can be valuable early in the game. Once the Queen's energy runs out you will have to wait for it to fill back up before you heal, spawn a Creep Tumor, or birth Larvae.
6. What is the name of the ranged ground unit that can attack both air and ground troops?

Answer: Hydralisk

When used in a group, Hydralisks are a very useful form of anti-air, just be sure to have other units with them for protection from enemy ground units. If playing against Terran, watch out for Siege Tanks.
7. What's the name of the unit that will explode when it comes into contact with an enemy drenching it in acid?

Answer: Baneling

Banelings are very good at destroying buildings especially if you use their "Attack Structure" feature. They can also do splash damage allowing for more than one target to be hit at a time.
8. What is the name of the upgraded Overlord that can produce units called Changelings?

Answer: Overseer

Not only can the Overseer produce Changelings, it will act as a detector which will reveal all cloaked or burrowed enemies to you. Overseers also make fairly good scouting units.
9. What is the name of the unit that can heal itself over time and attacks with deadly acid blasts?

Answer: Roach

Roaches are an extremely useful anti-ground ground unit due to their regenerative abilities. If used and upgraded correctly, you can win a 1v1 match while almost exclusively using Roaches.
10. What's the name of the ground unit that can take over the minds of enemy units and turn them into a kind of zombie?

Answer: Infestor

The Infoestor is the only Zerg unit that can move while it is burrowed. Among other things it can also spawn Infested Terrans, reveal cloaked/burrowed units, and control enemy units using the "Neural Parasite" ability.
11. What is the name of the fast air unit that can attack multiple targets at once by bouncing a shot between up to three enemy units?

Answer: Mutalisk

The Mutalisk, if used correctly, can attack multiple targets at once while on the move which can be very devastating. Also, Mutalisks can attack both air units and ground units.
12. What is the name of the anti-air flying unit that can cover ground units in slime causing them to take extra damage from your ground units?

Answer: Corruptor

When attacking enemy air units with Corruptors, pay attention to what you're attacking as they are powerful against basic enemy air units but weak against the more powerful ones. Also, if you have the right buildings, Corruptors can mutate into Brood Lords.
13. What is the name of the unit that creates a tunnel linking two areas covered in Creep?

Answer: Nydus Worm

The Nydus Worm can transport an unlimited amount of units across a battlefield; however, it will only unload them one at a time. When using Nydus Worms be careful they don't get destroyed when you have units inside of it as they will all be killed along with the Worm.
14. What is the name of the most powerful Zerg ground unit?

Answer: Ultralisk

The Ultralisk is a beast! Due to its size, it can hit multiple targets in one melee attack, it can deal up to 90 damage to buildings if upgraded correctly, they can break force fields, and are immune to mind control and other similar attacks. If you can get even a small group of Ultralisks in your army, it will increase your power quite a bit.
15. What is the name of the large manta-like flying anti-ground Zerg unit?

Answer: Brood Lord

Brood Lords attack ground units by producing Broodlings which cannot attack air units and have a limited lifespan. If used correctly, Brood Lords can be very effective during a siege.
