Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many galaxies can be found in the Terrace? (Exclude the hungry Luma outside the Terrace.)

Answer: Five

Five is the number of galaxies that can be found in most rooms. The five galaxies that can be found in the Terrace are: Good Egg Galaxy, Honeyhive Galaxy, Flipswitch Galaxy, Loopdeloop Galaxy, and Bowser Jr.'s Robot Reactor.
2. The first stop is the Good Egg Galaxy. If you take the orange pipe into the house what will you find?

Answer: a ? coin

The orange pipe can be found on the underside of the first planet. You will see a ? coin, which once activated, will form a path of musical notes. Collect all the notes before time is up, and a 1-up mushroom will appear.
3. After beating the first half of the game, a Purple comet will appear above the Good egg Galaxy. How many purple coins do you obtain while flying to and from Launch Stars?

Answer: 60

There are 20 purple coins between each Launch Star path. Purple comets require you to collect 100 purple coins, usually at a greater difficulty than the other stars you collected. Once you collect 100 purple coins, a star will appear somewhere in the stage.

The purple coins in the Good Egg Galaxy ate fairly easy to collect as they are all in a path on each planet and in between Launch Stars.
4. After you collect the first star in the Honeyhive Galaxy, you will find that the planet is being plagued by rival bugs. What are the names of the rival bugs?

Answer: Mandibugs

The Mandibugs are purple, charge you, and have big gold metallic jaws. They are pretty easy to predict and can be taken out with a ground pound. IN the star titled "Big Bad Bugaboom," you must battle a larger green, it does turn red after the first hit, Mandibug that can fly. You must ground pound it three times to defeat it.
5. In the episode titled "Bee Mario Takes Flight," the queen bee gives Mario the Power Star.

Answer: False

The queen bee does ask for your assistance though. You will find five Launch Star pieces on her body, which as Bee Mario you can climb around on without falling off. After using the Launch Star, you will meet up with the Toad Brigade, and the leader will give you the Power Star.
6. Including the coach, how many penguins can you talk to before learning how to Ray Surf in the Loopdeloop Galaxy?

Answer: Five

The Loopdeloop Galaxy, is one of the many Item Box galaxies that you can get one star in. This galaxy requires you to surf a course on a Manta Ray by pressing A and tilting the Wiimote to steer. Later on, you will encounter another galaxy called the Loopdeswoop Galaxy, which is an advanced version of this galaxy.
7. In the Flipswitch Galaxy, what is the name of the only star you can get there?

Answer: Painting the Planet Yellow

The Flipswitch Galaxy, is probably one of the smaller galaxies as it resembles three sides of a cube. The goal in "Painting the Planet Yellow," is to make every blue Flipswitch turn yellow, which can be done by stepping on it. Once every Flipswitch has been triggered, a star will appear on the "top" of the cube.
8. Bowser Jr. is the boss of the Terrace and he decides to use Megaleg against you. How many Bullet Bills are needed to defeat Megaleg if you just run and don't jump?

Answer: Three

Three seems to be a common factor in the Nintendo universe. Megaleg was voted as one of the top ten moments of "Super Mario Galaxy," by "Nintendo Power". This was because you actually fought on top of the boss. Once you get to the boss' weak point, it's head, you need to get a Bullet Bill to chase you so that you can lead it to the glass dome holding the Grand Star.

After doing this a metal gate will surround the Grand Star and the glass dome will regenerate. Once again you need to get a Bullet Bill to chase you. One to destroy a section of the gate, and another to break the glass dome.
9. After reaching a certain point in the game, a hungry Luma will appear outside the Terrace and will ask for Star Bits. If you feed it enough it will transform into the Sweet Sweet Galaxy. Remixed music from what Mario game plays in this galaxy?

Answer: Super Mario Bros. 3

"Rocky Road," the star from this galaxy, also holds a top ten spot to "Nintendo Power." Referred to as "The Gauntlet," this star has you traversing over several series of platforms with different designs of holes. If you fall down a hole, it's one life gone. The Sweet Sweet Galaxy is a "special galaxy", which are considered some of the hardest stars to get.
10. Excluding Comet Stars, how many stars, on the Terrace, are obtained by defeating an enemy?

Answer: 5

The five enemies are: Dino Piranha and King Kaliente in the Good Egg Galaxy, The larger Mandibug and the Big Bad Bugaboom in the Honeyhive Galaxy, and Megaleg in Bowser Jr.'s Robot Reactor. Another star can be obtained by defeating Dino Piranha when a Speedy Comet is in orbit.

A Speedy comet requires you to complete a previous mission in a certain amount of time. King Kaliente will also appear again as the boss of Bowser Jr.'s Lava Reactor in the Engine Room. Also if you beat Shadow Mario in a race throughout the Honeyhive Galaxy, when a Cosmic Comet is in orbit, you can get another star.

There is a total of sixteen stars to be found in the Terrace, including the Sweet Sweet Galaxy.
