Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who can be found in Moleville when you first arrive?

Answer: Bowser

When you head towards the Moleville Mines, Bowser will be leading his remaining six troops (three Goombas and three Magikoopas). After a brief scene, you'll need to head into the mines in order to save two moles who have been trapped; Dyna and Mite. Jump onto the shoulders of the two moles in the mines and climb into the caves. Once you're in, follow the paths and jump on the trampoline.

When you do this, you'll hit the ceiling and be knocked out.
2. What item do you need to obtain from Croco in Moleville?

Answer: Bambino Bomb

When you wake up, Croco (from Bandit's Way) and three Crooks will be robbing you. Chase them around until you catch them and initiate the battle with Croco. About half-way through the battle, Croco will take away your items and you'll probably need to rely on Mallow's HP Rain as a source of healing.

At the end of the battle, you'll get the Bambino Bomb which will allow you to advance further into the mines.
3. While fighting Punchinello, what kind of bombs doesn't he use?

Answer: Mega Bombs

Punchinello's a pretty mean guy, and he's unlike anything you'd usually see in a Mario game. To battle him, you need to approach him from behind since he'll push you away if you walk in front of him. The battle is also pretty strange. His primary attack involves normal damage which can easily be defended against, but his secondary attack is Sand Storm which will damage all three party members and leave them frightened (hope you bought that Fearless Pin!). Every once in a while, he'll throw down bombs, and after a while, he'll throw down bombs which are larger and larger.

The Microbomb is extremely small and barely does damage. These can be killed in one hit. Bob-ombs are the normal-sized bomb enemies which you can find everywhere throughout the last half of these mines. Mezzo Bombs are huge. Like before, you'll need to watch for these explosions.

In the end, Punchinello will unleash his largest bomb (crushing him in the process). After the battle, you'll receive the third star (knocked loose by the largest bomb), and you'll find Dyna and Mite. To escape the mines, you'll need to go on a little mine cart track.
4. After returning Dyna and Mite to their home, three Snifits will be running around Moleville. What are they chasing?

Answer: A beetle

After saving the kids and walking outside, the beetle will land on Mario's hat and the Snifits will try and take it from you as a present for Booster since he's trying to keep the 'princess from the sky' entertained. Head to the next area, Booster Pass, and arrive at Booster Tower once you're ready.
5. Which character joins your party at Booster Tower?

Answer: Bowser

When you arrive at Booster Tower, Bowser is waiting at the bushes reminiscing about the good old days. When he realizes that Mario is right behind him, he makes a comment about Princess Toadstool bawling like a baby if she were at his castle. Sure enough, Princess Toadstool is crying from the balcony of Booster Tower. Bowser leaves and you have no way to enter the tower, so try the door (it's locked), and Bowser will return.

He'll open the door for you and let you join the Koopa Troop. Bowser joins the party, and you'll be given the choice to use him immediately or keep your regular party (you can always change it later).

Head on into Booster Castle where the fun begins...
6. What is the name of the key used to open the door to the room containing the Chomp weapon?

Answer: Elder Key

The Chomp is Bowser's first weapon in the game. To get the Elder Key, you need to examine the portraits outside the room in the correct order. The correct order is in the main lobby, but it remains the same every time. The order is 6, 5, 3, 1, 2, 4.

In this level, you can also get Mario a powerful weapon, the Masher. It may take some trial and error on a see-saw to collect the item, but it's well worth it.
7. What will Booster use to travel around his Tower?

Answer: A train

As you go along through the tower, Booster will occasionally start throwing bombs at you and such. Eventually you'll arrive at the top and be forced to hide behind some curtains before you can reach Princess Toadstool on the balcony. Booster will come in and talk about his plans to marry Princess Toadstool.

After a bit of a minigame involving curtains and Snifits, Booster will find a lost Mario doll (and if you didn't get caught, you'll get a Stinky Amulet). After this, head to the balcony.
8. Knife Guy has more health than Grate Guy.

Answer: False

Knife Guy has 700 HP and Grate Guy has 900 HP. Once you head onto the balcony, the Snifits, Booster, and Princess Toadstool will be gone and these two bosses will ambush you. Grate Guy has attacks like Echofinder (which disables special skills with Mute) and attacks that will put your party to sleep while Knife Guy uses mainly physical attacks.

After a bit, one will jump onto another and they'll use different attacks. One uses Meteor Storm to damage the whole party, the other will use the commonly seem Crystal attack and the Blizzard attack (which also hits everyone). One you've beaten them both, a chase up Booster Hill will begin!
9. In the Booster Hill mini-game, what do you get each time you reach the princess?

Answer: A Flower

This mini-game only happens once because it changes to a beetle catching game later. Three Snifits are behind you, and Booster is in front with the princess while all the while, barrels are rolling down the hill. You can jump on the barrels and the Snifits to get ahead to the princess, but in the end, Booster will still arrive first. You could potentially raise your Flower Points by more than ten points during this game, so don't waste time!
10. While in Marrymore Chapel, which item of Princess Toadstool's do you not need to find?

Answer: Her necklace

When you arrive in Marrymore, there's a whole bunch of new equippable items to buy, but what's really important is the chapel. When you arrive, the Snifits will kick Raz and Raini out of their own wedding and lock the chapel doors. Make your way around to the kitchen entrance where Chef Torte and his apprentice will be making a scrumptious cake, then head through the barricaded doors (with Bowser's help to enter the main room.

When you enter, you'll crash into the princess and her shoes, ring, brooch, and crown and will fly around the room.

The Snifits will pick most of the wedding gear up, so take it from them and find the crown (on top of Booster's head) so that the ordeal will be over. OOPS! Wait a second. The chefs baked a lovely cake, but now the characters don't have time to eat it. Well, Chef Torte and his apprentice are pretty mad, so they engage in battle.

After attacking the cake enough, it'll come to life and the chefs will run away. Every hit you make will snuff out the cake's candles, and every time the cake takes a turn it'll set one aflame again.

After extinguishing the pastry of doom, it'll turn into a smaller cake. At the end of this battle, Booster will it the cake whole. After this, take the princess back to the Chancellor and she'll be home at last. When you leave the castle, the princess will take her parasol and float down from her window in order to join your party. The fifth and final member is finally here!
