Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these is not an unlockable character?

Answer: Kirby

Kirby is one of the eight starting characters available to players. There is a fourth unlockable character as well; Ness. Each of the unlockable characters requires the player to perform some feat in single player or training mode. Kirby has many strong moves despite his size, such as his stone attack and his ability to swallow other characters and copy their moves.
2. Which of the playable characters do you fight last in single player mode?

Answer: Samus

True, you do fight Metal Mario after Samus, but Metal Mario is different from regular Mario and is not a playable character. Samus is one of the best characters and gives you a pretty good fight if the difficulty is high. Fox, Pikachu, and Donkey Kong all appear earlier.
3. This item inflicts some of the highest damage in the game. It has a time limit when used, but it can usually knock characters at full life off the level in three hits. Which weapon is it?

Answer: Hammer

While being extremely powerful, there are a few downsides to using it. The player loses his second and third jumps, it cannot be dropped once picked up, and the character's agility is very limited. Even so, it is definitely worth it to use this item, especially on the smaller stages.
4. What is the name of the final boss in single player mode?

Answer: master hand

Instead of building up damage and knocking him off the edge, the player has to bring Master Hand's life down to zero. Master Hand, which is a giant white glove, uses a number of attacks to try and knock you away, such as punching, flicking, shooting missiles, and slapping.
5. Which of these is not one of the bonus stages?

Answer: Evade the Barrels

A bonus stage requires the player to complete a goal under a certain time limit. Points are awarded towards the character's final score based on how well the player does. Board the Platforms requires jumping on ten different platforms and is different for each character. Target Test is also different for each character, but this one requires destroying ten targets using the character's different moves. Race to the Finish is the same for all characters, and requires the player to avoid fighting polygons and obstacles while trying to get to the end of the level as fast as possible.
6. In each stage there is some kind of obstacle that either hurts players or attempts to push them off the edge. What do players have to watch out for in Link's level, Hyrule Castle?

Answer: Tornadoes

The tornado can appear randomly at any part of the level, even the platforms, and launches players into the air if they get caught up in it. If their damage is high enough, the tornado can actually throw a player off the stage.
7. When playing in single player mode, which of these stages lets the player fight with allies?

Answer: Princess Peach's Castle (Mario's stage)

The player fights Mario and Luigi at Princess Peach's Castle, and he gets one ally to help. On the more difficult settings, this ally, which can be any character, is a life saver. The player also gets allies when fighting Giant Donkey Kong at Kongo Jungle.
8. Which of these is a Pokémon that comes out of both the Pokéballs and the elevator on the Saffron City stage?

Answer: Chansey

When Chansey pops out, she will toss eggs that can be thrown like an item. If the egg is thrown at another player or the ground, a different item will pop out as well.
9. Which character does not have a stage from their game?

Answer: Captain Falcon

Ness does not have a stage from his game either. If they had given Falcon and Ness their own stage, it would have given it away that they were hidden characters. Jigglypuff and Luigi do not have stages of their own, but they do share stages with Mario and Pikachu, respectively. Fox's stage is Sector Z and Donkey Kong's is Kongo Jungle.
10. What is the highest level a computer player can play at in multiplayer?

Answer: Level 9

Computer player levels can range from one to nine, one being the easiest and nine being the hardest. Even level nines become rather boring to play against when a player becomes more experienced at the game, unless you put three level nines on one team against you.
