1. How much will the girl in the Thoda Dock church charge you for the boat trip to the Thoda Island Geyser?

Answer: 200 Gald

In order to get to the Thoda Island Geyser, visitors and tourists must paddle to the island in washtubs, and pay 200 Gald for the privilege. The washtubs are rapidly becoming as much of a tourist spot as the Geyser itself! Later on in the game, the girl in the temple realizes that Colette is the Chosen, and allows your party to travel for free.

2. When Colette touches the stone tablet at the Thoda Island Geyser, the entrance to the temple is opened. What happens when the tablet is touched?

Answer: A bridge appears to a hole in the cliff

A shimmery blue bridge appears, and curves upwards into a cave high up in the cliff face. The bridge curves up over the top of the geyser. After the party enters the cave, Sheena tries to follow them, but Noishe stops her.

3. Which enemy inside the Water Temple causes poison?

Answer: Float Dragon

The Float Dragons are tall turquoise creatures which look like seahorses, and can poison party members. While this is an irritation, it can be useful, because by leaving Colette poisoned for a number of battles, she can gain a new title: "Oblivious".

Answer: White Silver

These are all items which can be used for customisation of new items. This pathway can be difficult to find, as there is nothing to show it is there from this screen. However, if you take the right hand path in the room with the Sorcerer's Ring change point, you will see the platform on your left with the two chests on it. By mentally tracing the pathway back, you can see which room would lead to the chests.

5. What is the purpose of the large block on the lower level of the temple?

Answer: Holds open a doorway

You need to push the block into the passageway, so that it will hold open the door. In order to get to the boss chamber, you need to squirt water in the top scales, then the bottom scales. However, shooting water into the top scales causes the door to the bottom scales to shut, so the door needs to be held open with the block.

6. When you reach the Seal Chamber, you must fight Adulocia and two Amphitrae. What is the total HP of these three enemies (on normal difficulty)?

Answer: 14600

Adulocia has 10000 HP, and each Amphitra has 2300 HP. by defeating these enemies, your party will gain 1125 EXP points. This is one of the toughest of the Seal Guardians, and Genis is invaluable in this battle as he can cast Stalagmite or other Earth-based spells.

7. Adulocia and the Amphitrae are strong against both water and ice, and weak against lightning. The Amphitrae are also weak against another element. Which element is harmful to them?

Answer: Fire

Although it may seem obvious that Water Guardians may be weak against Fire, in "Tales Of Symphonia", as in many games, each element has a polar opposite, which causes the most damage to it, and the opposite of Water is Lightning. Earth magic can also cause quite a high damage figure to both Adulocia and the Amphitrae.

8. On your return to the Water Temple, you need to fight Undine in order to gain her powers. What colour is Undine's hair?

Answer: Purple

Undine has blue skin, and purple hair. This is a very tough battle, particularly when Undine uses her Spray attack. After the battle, you gain a Guardian Symbol, and Sheena is able to summon Undine.

9. Which gem do you gain from defeating Undine?

Answer: Aquamarine

Every Summon Spirit you defeat gets you a gemstone. These can be equipped as an accessory, but do not make much impact on the characters' stats. However, in order to gain the final Summon Spirit, Maxwell, you need to equip four of the eight received gems.

10. How does Lloyd reach the Spiritua Statue on the other side of the Geyser?

Answer: Genis freezes the Geyser, and he slides across

Undine is the first Summon Spirit you gain, but the Spiritua Statue can be collected before this event, on your first trip to the Geyser. Genis freezes the water, and you have to follow his instructions to cross. If you get it wrong too many times, you will fall, and have to be rescued.

The character who rescues you will vary, depending on affection levels. This is one of the few scenes in the game which is dependant on the affection levels.
