Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Before you go through the main entrance to the Balacruf Mausoleum, you can bear left to find a chest filled with Gald. How much Gald is inside the chest?

Answer: 1800

The chest is to the left of the temple entrance, underneath a tent-like area. This is the only chest in the Mausoleum which contains Gald. Also in this area is one of the only dogs which Colette can not choose the name for, as its owner is nearby and tells you its name.
2. When you enter Balacruf Mausoleum, which direction must you head in order to reach the Memory Circle?

Answer: East

There is a faded Memory Circle down the right hand path as you enter the Mausoleum, but there is an enemy crawling round the area which needs to be killed first, so that you can use the Memory Circle in peace! If you do not already have a Memory Gem to release the circle, you need to head to the left, up the stairs, and kill the enemy at the top.
3. Which of the following is an enemy within the Balacruf Mausoleum?

Answer: Harpy

The Harpies are one type of the various enemies within the Mausoleum. The other enemies inside the temple are: Arachnids, Skeletons, Gargoyles, and Wind Elements. Spiders are an earlier form of the Arachnid enemy, and Spectres can be found in the Temple of Light, at the Tower of Mana.
4. In order to enter the Seal Room, you must set the five coloured fans moving in the correct order, as can be learnt from the clues in the paintings around the temple. What is the correct order to open the Seal Room?

Answer: Red - Yellow - Green - White - Blue

There are four small fans arranged in a square, and a larger fan in the centre. This can be a very difficult puzzle to work out, because you need to read the clues around the Mausoleum, and interpret them in the correct way in order to get the correct sequence.
5. There are two hidden treasures in the fan room. What treasure do you release if you start the fans moving in the sequence: Blue - Red - Yellow - White - Green?

Answer: Blue Ribbon

The Ex Gem Lv2 is the other hidden treasure in this room, acquired by using the sequence: Red - Green - Yellow - White - Blue. The other two items can both be obtained from chests in the Mausoleum. The Iron Guard can be found by going North East after going down the stairs and stopping the wind with a heavy block. The Beast Fang is near the Memory Circle.
6. The Guardian of the Wind Seal, Iapix, has 14000 HP, but a very low amount of TP. How much TP does it have?

Answer: 88

Iapix is the first Seal Guardian which faces you alone. This boss is very strong against both Wind and Lightning elemental attacks, and has no elemental weaknesses, despite the fact that it is an elemental boss. After defeating Iapix, you receive a Paralysis Charm and a Spirit Bangle.
7. When you try to leave the Mausoleum, you are forced to fight Sheena again. What name is she given in the battle, and in the Monster Book, in this area?

Answer: Resolute Assassin

She is known as Clumsy Assassin when you fight her the first time on the Ossa Trail, and has now become Resolute Assassin. She is accompanied by Guardian: Lightning for this battle. Although this isn't an overly difficult battle, it is unexpected, and occurs as you are limping away from the battle with Iapix, which makes it far more of a challenge.
8. When you defeat Sheena, she drops a Dark Bottle. The Guardian:Lightning, who accompanies her, drops fine pellets, and one other item. What item does it drop?

Answer: Magic Lens

Magic Lens are very cheap items (10 Gald), which can be used to scan your enemies, and see how much HP they have remaining. Once it has been used on an enemy, you can see updated versions of the enemies stats throughout the battle by pressing the shoulder buttons.
9. When you return to the Balacruf Mausoleum, you must defeat the Wind Summon Spirits, Sylph. Sylph is actually made up of three seprate spirits: Sephie, Yutis, and Fairess. Which of the three has the highest attack stat?

Answer: Fairess

The three spirits all have different fighting styles. Sephie is the main attacker, and appears to be the leader of the group. While Fairess has the highest attack, she acts mostly defensively, hiding behind her large shield. Yutis hangs back and attacks with long range arrows.

While these do not cause much damage, they are an irritation when trying to attack the close-range combatants. Fairess' attack stat is 738. Yutis' is 699, and Sephie's is 713.
10. After defeating Sylph, and getting them to join you, Sheena earns a new title. What is the title?

Answer: Elemental Summoner

The "Summoner" title is achieved after Sheena gains her first two Summon Spirits, Undine and Volt. "Elemental Summoner" is achieved when they are joined by Efreet, Sylph, Gnome, and Celsius, bearing in mind that the Summon Spirits are not obtained in the same order as the temples are first visited. "Master Summoner" is obtained when Sheena adds Darkness, Aska/Luna, Origin, and Maxwell to her list of Summon Spirits, and "Ultimate Summoner" is earned when she reaches level 100.
