Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many monkeys form a swing so Link can access the boss' room in the Forest Temple?

Answer: Eight

There are a total of eight monkeys to rescue in the Forest Temple. In the first part of the dungeon, the monkeys only purpose is to help Link cross small gaps between platforms. However, once Ook, the mini-boss who holds the Gale Boomerang, is defeated, the monkeys help Link cross a huge abyss to access the final room in the dungeon, containing Diababa, the Twilit Parasite.

The first Fused Shadow is obtained after killing Diababa.
2. Which of these is not a Goron elder found at the Goron Mines?

Answer: Gor Darmani

In order to enter the Goron Mines dungeon, Link must defeat Gor Coron in a sumo fight. Gor Amoto is the first Goron elder to be encountered in the dungeon, and provides the first shard of the Big Key, followed by Gor Ebizo and Gor Liggs. Once Link has assembled the Big Key, he can enter the boss's chamber containing Fyrus, the Twilit Igniter. Fyrus is the twilight-possessed Darbus, the patriarch of the Gorons, who drops the second Fused Shadow.
3. Which important item is found in the Lakebed Temple?

Answer: Clawshot

During Link's quest to allow water to fill the main chamber to access the boss's room, he must fight the Deku Toad to obtain the Clawshot, a device that can grapple onto targets. As with the other dungeons, the Clawshot is necessary to defeat Morpheel, the Twilit Aquatic, and retrieve the final Fused Shadow.
4. How many Poes steal the flames that control the door in the main chamber in Arbiter's Grounds?

Answer: Four

The main chamber contains a great door, held open by four blue flames. As Link enters the chamber, four Poes materialize and steal the flames, thus closing the door. The first Poe is fought right there, but Link must transform into a wolf and hone his senses to sniff out the other three Poes. Once the flames have been restored, the door opens and Link can continue through the dungeon.

The Spinner is obtained after defeating the mini-boss, Death Sword. Upon completion of Arbiter's Grounds, Link ascends to the Mirror Chamber, where the Mirror of Twilight is kept, and where Ganondorf faced his judgment long ago.
5. Where is the shard of the Mirror of Twilight kept in the Snowpeak Ruins?

Answer: Bedroom

Yeto and Yeta live in the Snowpeak Ruins at Snowpeak, and have a shard of the Mirror of Twilight in their home. However, it is not easy to get to. Yeta is ill, because of the shard, and Yeto makes a soup that he hopes will cure her. Link can use the soup to restore hearts. Yeta struggles to remember where she keeps the key that opens the bedroom, where the mirror shard is.

The key is found in the chapel, but Link is ambushed by many Chilfos. When Yeta enters the bedroom, she becomes possessed by the mirror, and transforms into Blizzeta, the Twilit Ice Mass.
6. Who is the boss of the Temple of Time dungeon?

Answer: Armogohma

Getting to the Temple of Time is perhaps harder than the dungeon itself. Contained within the Sacred Grove, Link must strike the pedestal that holds the Master Sword to enable access to the dungeon. Unlike the previous dungeons, the Temple of Time is relatively linear; that is, there isn't much backtracking to access other rooms.

The mini-boss, Darknut, guards the Dominion Rod, an ancient device that brings certain statues to life which mimic the movement of the rod bearer. Armogohma must be defeated by activating statues in the boss's room, and smashing the giant spider when it becomes vulnerable.
7. What is the name of the device that allows Link to access the City in the Sky?

Answer: Sky Cannon

The dilapidated Sky Cannon is found in the cellar of Renado's house in Kakariko Village. Once power is restored to the Dominion Rod, Link can move the statue in the cellar that guards the Sky Cannon room. Midna can then warp the cannon to Lake Hylia, where Fyer repairs the cannon for a modest sum of 300 Rupees. Once he finishes, Link can be shot into the sky and arrive at the home of the Oocca, the City in the Sky.
8. How many Sols does Link need to collect to create the Master Sword of Light in the Palace of Twilight?

Answer: Two

Once the Mirror of Twilight is assembled, Link can access the Twilight Realm, where he must defeat Zant in the Palace of Twilight. Phantom Zant is battled twice to retrieve the Sols. The Sols then infuse the Master Sword with their power, giving it the ability to part the Shadow Crystal fog. Zant is the boss of the dungeon, and must be battled in the same way as each of the dungeon bosses before him.
9. Which foe, encountered previously in the game, serves as Hyrule Castle's mini-boss?

Answer: King Bulblin

Hyrule Castle doesn't contain any special items, so the mini-boss, King Bulblin, doesn't drop anything new. He does, however, drop the Small Key, which grants access to the castle itself. King Bulblin speaks for the first time, although it was thought that they could not talk.

When he is defeated, he acknowledges Link as superior, to himself and to Ganondorf, and remarks that all he has ever known is to serve the stronger side.
10. How many rooms are there in the extremely difficult Cave of Ordeals?

Answer: 50

Once the missing part of the Bridge of Eldin is removed from the top of the Gerudo Mesa, it reveals the entrance to the Cave of Ordeals, a gruelling 50-room dungeon-like area, that tests Links mettle to the extreme. The toughest foes in all of Hyrule lie in the cave, and Link must kill each and every one of them to proceed.

At the end, the Great Fairy rewards him with a bottle of Great Fairy Tears. The Tears can also be obtained at any spirit spring, free of charge, whenever Link desires, although only one bottle can be held at any time.
