Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which item do you need to enter Jiggywiggy's Temple?

Answer: Jiggies

Once inside you will be able to challenge a puzzle of a moving picture. If you complete the puzzle then Master Jiggywiggy will use his power to open new worlds for you. There are ten Jiggies in each world. Collect as many as you can to open as many worlds as you can so you can repeat the process over and over and over again.
2. What is the name of the short critters that will give you a Jiggy if you rescue a whole family of them?

Answer: Jinjos

There are nine Jinjo families. Each family has a different number of members. The white family, for example, has only one member, while the black family has nine. If you rescue all the Jinjos of a family, they will give you a Jiggy. There are five Jinjos in every world (including the Isle-o-Hags).
3. Which of the following is needed to help Mumbo Jumbo and Humba Wumba perform their magic?

Answer: Glowbos

There are two of these creatures in every world (including the Isle-o-Hags) and they are generally located near Humba Wumba's Wigwam or Mumbo Jumbo's skull hut. The procedure is simple: Grab the Glowbo, take it the magician and they will use their spells to aid you in your journey.
4. Which item do you collect to earn a new cheat from Cheato?

Answer: Cheato Pages

There are three pages in each world. Once you have five, run back to Cheato in what's left of Gruntilda's Lair where he will take the pages in exchange for a cheat.
5. Which of the following is needed to learn new moves from Jamjars?

Answer: Musical Notes

Notes are now found in note baskets which give you five notes every time you pick one up, unlike in "Banjo-Kazooie" where you had to collect each note individually. If you have collected enough notes you can go to Jamjars where he will deem you worthy of his teachings and teach you a new move.
6. Which of these items are needed to fly?

Answer: Red Feathers

You can hold a maximum of fifty Red Feathers initially (and you can hold more with cheats). While flying, you will fly higher by tapping the A button. Every time you tap A you will lose one Red Feather. Also, it takes a Red Feather to perform the Beak Bomb move. Tapping B while flying will shoot you forward at high speed.

This can be used as an attack and some switches can only be pressed by a Beak Bomb attack.
7. Which item is needed to become invincible?

Answer: Gold Feathers

You can only hold ten Gold Feathers initially but you can carry more if you insert cheats. The longer you stay invincible, the more Gold Feathers are taken away. Invincibility is good when you need to walk across dangerous surfaces or wade through damaging substances, such as lava. Also, most enemies can't repel invincibility, so you should be able to neutralize an enemy by walking into it while invincible.
8. Which item is worth twenty notes?

Answer: Treble Clefs

There is one Treble Clef in each world (including the Isle-o-Hags). While Note Baskets give you five Notes, Treble Clefs will give you twenty. Unlike Note Baskets, Treble Clefs are normally well hidden, or can be found in hard-to-reach areas.
9. Which item is needed to refill lost life?

Answer: Honeycomb Pieces

Enemies sometimes drop Honeycomb pieces when you neutralize them. A Honeycomb Piece will refill one unit in your health bar when you grab it. There are also special Honeycomb Pieces. There is the '!' version, which, when grabbed will highlight one unit in your health bar at a time in ascending order.

It will refill you life to the point you stopped the highlight Honeycomb Piece at, so you could actually lose health if you weren't accurate enough. Also, if you try to hit the highest Honeycomb Piece but miss, you may hit the one right after it, the lowest piece, meaning you might give yourself only one unit of health.

Another special type of Honeycomb Piece is the '?' type. Like the '!' type, the '?' will highlight one unit in the health bar at a time, but instead of ascending order, it'll be random, making it harder to get a totally filled health bar.
10. What colour are the normal eggs Kazooie can fire?

Answer: Blue Eggs

Blue Eggs are the standard egg in the game. You can hold a hundred of them initially, but cheats can increase that number. They don't do much damage, but can be fired faster than any other type of egg.
11. Which egg will set its target on fire?

Answer: Fire Eggs

Fires Eggs are the second type of egg you will learn how to use. They do double the damage that Blue Eggs do and will set their targets on fire, making them run around randomly until the flames go out.
12. Can you lob Grenade Eggs?

Answer: No

Grenade Eggs will fly in a straight line just like Blue Eggs, Fire Eggs, and Ice Eggs. Grenade Eggs do triple the damage that Blue Eggs do and they have splash damage. The downside to Grenade Eggs is their rate of fire. You can't fire Grenade Eggs terribly fast, but they normally do enough damage per shot that you can normally get away with it.
13. Which egg will freeze its target for a short period of time?

Answer: Ice Eggs

Ice Eggs don't do any damage but, instead, freeze their target for a very limited time. While frozen, you could run up to the enemy and attack it without wasting any supplies such as eggs of feathers. Ice Eggs are nice when up against Minjos. Minjos look exactly like Jinjos, and will call out the same pleas for help until you get close at which time they'll run for your feet, trying to bring your health down. If you fire an Ice Egg at a Jinjo/Minjo from a safe distance, you'll be able to figure out what you're up against. Jinjos cannot be frozen, but Minjos can.

The logic behind this? In the 'Jinjo' freezes, then you know it's a Minjo that will try to attack you if you approach it.
14. What colour is the Clockwork Kazooie in a Clockwork Kazooie Egg?

Answer: Black

Clockwork Kazooie eggs hatch when they hit a solid surface, releasing a little black clockwork bird looking something like Kazooie with a key in its back. Clockwork Kazooie Eggs start a twenty-second timer after hatching. Once the timer's up, it will explode. Alternate ways to make it explode before time's up is to run it into an enemy, run it into water, lava, or some other substance that it cannot get a footing on.

The last way is to hit the A button, which will detonate it before time's up.
15. Which item will increase your max life?

Answer: Empty Honeycomb Pieces

When you get an Empty Honeycomb Piece, take it to Honey B where she'll exchange it for another unit in your health meter. The first one cost one Empty Honeycomb Piece, the second is three, the third is five, etc. Empty Honeycomb Pieces can be found in hard-to-find places. There are two in each world.
16. Which of the following shoes allow you to move really fast?

Answer: Turbo Trainers

Turbo Trainers can be found in strategically-placed locations throughout "Banjo-Tooie". You can identify them as a pair of white running shoes walking in a circle as though they were occupied by invisible feet. Once you have a pair of these one you can run really fast for a certain amount of time.

The amount of time differs depending on which pair you pick up, and most will give you just enough time for you to accomplish what you need to do before they disappear back to their starting location. Turbo Trainers also allow you to run across water provided you don't slow down.
17. Which of the following can Kazooie pull on and walk through dangerous substances without being hurt?

Answer: Wading Boots

Wading boots look like a pair of green gum boots hopping on the spot. Like the Turbo Trainers, you only get a limited time with them and it differs between different pairs of Wading Boots. Again, you normally have barely enough time with them to accomplish what you need to do with them.
18. Which shoes allow Kazooie to jump really high?

Answer: Springy Step Shoes

Springy Step Shoes allow Banjo and Kazooie to jump higher than any normal jump (Kazooie will jump higher when alone). They also have a timer, but unlike the Turbo Trainers or the Wading Boots, you'll normally discontinue your use of them before the timer will. Once you jump with the Springy Step Shoes, regardless of the timer, they will disappear back to their starting point.

While wearing the Springy Step Shoes you cannot jump normally. This means that if you have to get to a certain place to use the shoes, you may not jump to shorten the trip; you have to walk all the way to your destination and then use the shoes.
19. If you see Kazooie footprints going up the side of a wall, you know you'll find a pair of what kind of shoes nearby?

Answer: Claw Clamber Boots

Claw Clamber Boots allow Kazooie (with or without Banjo) to climb up walls. No, you cannot just climb any old wall. You first have to slip on the boots and then find the set of Kazooie Footprints going up a wall. Angle yourself to walk up them and you'll be on your way. You can only claw clamber up Kazooie Footprints.
20. If you want to open a train station, you have to hit what kind of switch?

Answer: Train Switch

The Train Switch can normally be found within the train station (there are a few exceptions). Basically, hit the switch to open the corresponding station. Once open, you can take Chuffy to the station, provided you have won control of him (by defeating Old King Coal in Chuffy's boiler). Each Train Station serves a specific purpose.

There will not be a train station unless something significant requires it. Such as in Witchy World where the train has to pick up the dinosaur to get it back to Terrydactyland.
21. Which pad is needed to start flying?

Answer: Flying Pads

Flying Pads are blue with a trio of Red Feathers on them. Stand on one of these pads and press A. Kazooie will start flying and you can fly to wherever it is you want to travel to, whether it be to speed up the trip or if you want to get to a place only accessible by flying.
22. Which pad allows Kazooie to perform really high jumps?

Answer: Shock Jump Pads

Shock Jump Pads are green with a picture of Kazooie's foot on it. Stand on one of these pads and press A. Kazooie will leap into the air, allowing you to reach places you'd normally not be able to reach.
23. Which pads are needed for Mumbo to perform his magic?

Answer: Mumbo Pads

Grab the Glowbo nearby, give it to Mumbo, and then direct him to his pad. Mumbo can't do much in the field apart from his magic. He doesn't have any special moves, so you'll most likely want to get him to his pads and back to his hut. This means you'll want to scout out his pads before turning into him, as it may require you hit a switch that only Banjo and/or Kazooie can hit. Mumbo may have multiple pads in the same world, but his spell stays the same for each world. An example would be Glitter Gulch Mine. Mumbo has two pads and he has to use his spell 'levitate' twice. Once on Chuffy the train and once on the Jiggy Boulder.
24. On the Split-Up Pads, what colour is the Banjo pad?

Answer: Blue

Split-Up Pads always come in pairs. One pad is blue with a picture of Banjo on it, while the other is red with Kazooie on it. When you are playing as both characters and you want to split up, stand on the Banjo pad and press A. Kazooie will jump out of the pack and you'll be able to control Banjo as himself. If you want to switch your character, stand him/her on their pad and press A. Your control will hop over to the other character. Also, there are sparkling clouds in certain areas. Step into them, press A, and control will move to the other character.
25. What kind of pads help you move to different parts of the world you're in with relative speed?

Answer: Warp Pads

First off, you have to activate a Warp Pad. Once activated, you can warp between any pads you have already activated. You can only warp to other pads in the same world. Warp Pads are two spirals (blue and purple) circling each other.
