Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is a "Bird of Paradise"?

Answer: A plant

The "Bird of Paradise" is the most expensive plant in the "Livin' Large" expansion pack. Although it goes for $170, it should really only be bought if it fits the room. Then again, you may want to take advantage of its two-point room value. The plant can sit in a pot on the floor, so you don't need to worry about buying an end table for it.
2. How many "Livin' Large" decoration items have a room value of 10?

Answer: Three

The Shabycratah Figure, "La Gargouille" Ornamental Sculpture, and the Suit of Armor all have room values of 10, yet all are extremely expensive. The Shabycratah Figure is $13,000, "La Gargouille" Ornamental Sculpture is $13,100, and the Suit of Armor is $15,000; the same price as Servo the Robot. All of these items take up only 1 unit of space in the household.
3. Old Thyme is a company which restored a buyable oven. What other appliance did Old Thyme restore?

Answer: Fridge

The Old Thyme Restored Oven and Old Thyme Victual Preservatorium (fridge) both have hunger values of nine (very good). Sure, they're very expensive, and they look like they were made for a castle-themed household, but their hunger values are much better than the other leading brands. The oven is $1,600 and the victual preservatorium is $2,750.
4. What is the Schwa Carpet made out of?

Answer: Wool

This lively, bright carpet only takes up six units of space (3x2), and it costs less than many of the other rugs that are available. Priced at $1,300, it's still much cheaper than the antique rugs, yet less tacky than the $460 Leopard Life Floor Rug. The Schwa Carpet has a Room Value of 4; 2 points higher than Leopard Life.
5. How much does the "Suds du Soleil" Antique Tub cost?

Answer: $2,000

This antique tub is the most expensive bathroom object found in "Livin' Large". It has a comfort rating of 6, a hygiene rating of 9, and it takes up two units of your bathroom space. Sure, this may be an expensive bathtub, but the Hydrothera Bathtub costs $3,200 and has a comfort rating of 8 and hygiene rating of 10! It does however take up a 2x2 units piece of space.
6. Who created the Frogg?

Answer: Sinjin Vain

This bright magenta chair is more like to be found in some child's room than in a family/living room. It costs $460 and it has a comfort rating of 6. In its description in the game, it explained that the creator basically renovated the chair from scratch; now half of its back is raised higher than the other half. Like many other chairs it only covers one unit of space.
7. Under which category would you find the Baroque Optilopticon?

Answer: Miscellaneous

The Baroque Optilopticon is an extremely tall, gold-framed wall mirror. The mirror costs a staggering $1,100, and it only has a room value of 2. Only adults can use the mirror, and like all other mirrors (including medicine cabinets), they can talk into it to gain charisma points.
8. How many points is the comfort rating on the Velvet Sofasaurus?

Answer: Six

The Velvet Sofasaurus costs $575 and it seats three people. With its comfort value at 6, and its energy value at five, the price isn't that bad. Although the fabric looks kind of tacky, it easily matches with the Floor Rug by Leopard Life.
9. What is a Liebefunkenmann?

Answer: A piano

The Liebefunkenmann Piano is much bigger than the Chimeway & Daughters Piano (found in "The Sims" with no expansion packs), but it has a much higher room value. This piano is also much more expensive at $5,399 and it has a fun value of 4. Sure, it's expensive, but it's helpful if your Sim needs creativity, and you just don't feel like painting.
10. What type of animal is part of the Rampa Lopside End Table?

Answer: Elephant

The Rampa Lopside End Table doesn't really improve your room in any way. It has no room value, and it only costs a measly $79. Really, I guess you could stick a phone or an African Violet on it, but it would really look mismatched unless you had an Arabian-themed room. :P
Since it is an end table, it only takes up one unit of space.
