"Rome: Total War" was one of Sega's bestsellers at the time. It was the third game in the "Total War" series, preceded by "Shogun" and "Medieval". It has two expansions: "Barbarian Invasion" and "Alexander", although its successor, "Rome II: Total War", generally held less supportive reviews from game critics than its predecessor.
