Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Emerald Sanctuary contains a flightpath.

Answer: True

Most players coming into Felwood will probably be doing so from the south. If this is done, the first major region to come across will be the Emerald Sanctuary, a small neutral outpost near the border (just north of Morlos'Aran). This location won't contain an inn, but it does have a few quest-givers, and a neutral flightpath connecting to nearby outposts for both Alliance and Horde players.

Many of the quests given in this settlement will be for the southern portion of Felwood, but some will lead players to the north where connecting quests will progress to the more difficult areas of the zone.

The Emerald Sanctuary is run by members of the Emerald Circle.
2. What corrupted plants can be found across Felwood?

Answer: Songflowers

Corrupted Plant quests can be found in one of the villages in Felwood, and they aren't that difficult to complete. Essentially, Corrupted Songflowers, Night Dragons, and Windblossoms will show up all around the zone (if you have Herbalism as a profession, this'll be a breeze).

When you come up to one, you can attempt to cleanse it. Once a certain amount are cleansed, the quest will be completed. All three types of flower can be found in predetermined locations. None of them are used for Alchemy though players can find higher-level plants like Dreamfoil in the zone otherwise.
3. Talonbranch Glade is in which area of Felwood?

Answer: The north

An Alliance-centric outpost near Timbermaw Hold, Talonbranch Glade is the second of two Alliance-usable flightpath locations in Felwood. Here, Alliance players can up their reputation with the Timbermaw creatures or complete quests for the northern regions of the zone.

Other than this, the only other things players will find are a couple trainers and traders, but little else. The outpost is run by Night Elf characters due to the zone's proximity to the Night Elf starting area, Teldrassil, found northwest of the continent's shores.
4. Jadefire Glen is populated by which of these types of creatures?

Answer: Satyrs

Jadfire Glen is found slightly to the west of Emerald Sanctuary. This small area in the hills plays host to many Satyr enemies just under level 50. Although the most of the quests here revolve around defeating these mythical creatures, many of the rest of the quests through northern Felwood do the same.

The Satyrs tend to be found through most of the zones in Northern Kalimdor from Ashenvale to Desolace. One boss will usually spawn amongst the mobs camping out at the Glen, and usually he'll be around level 52.
5. At which location can players find Shadow Hold?

Answer: Jaedenar

Jaedenar is south of Bloodvenom Falls and north of the Ruins of Constellas. This Satyr-friendly area is teeming with magical creatures with angry intent, and most of your time in this area will be spent fighting and defeating totals of enemies. The neutral quests heading to this area are given by Greta Mosshoof in Emerald Sanctuary in the south of Felwood.

A moonwell in the center of the Shadow Hold is the basis of the follow-up quest, 'Collection of Corrupt Water'. Most of these quests are for players in their 50s.
6. Bloodvenom Post is a Horde outpost.

Answer: True

The northern-most Horde-centric outpost in all of Kalimdor, Bloodvenom Post acts as a flightpath location and contains an inn and a few traders/trainers. Most players coming here, like Alliance players to Talonbranch Glade, will only be visiting for the area's quests (which will cut across most of the middle of the zone in this case) or catching a ride on the flightpath location.

The outpost sits slightly up a path from Bloodvenom River, which is also associated with the nearby Bloodvenom Falls, a source of corrupt water in Felwood, and one of the primary reasons for all the corruption in the surrounding forests.
7. Which of these is not an Ancient in Irontree Woods?

Answer: Agamaggan

Agammagan is a large demigod boar creature whose skeleton is found at the Barrens instance Razorfen Downs. According to "Warcraft" lore, his remains grew the thorny plants which created the dungeon. Hastat, Stoma, and Vartrus are all Ancients of Lore found in Irontree Woods, a section of Felwood in the northern regions near Thornbranch Glade and across from Felpaw Village.

These are all NPCs used for higher-level questers, particularly around level 60. All three of these characters have significance in Night Elf lore as their history is based around the actions of Ancients.
8. Timbermaw Hold connects to Moonglade and what other zone in the north of Felwood?

Answer: Winterspring

Timbermaw Hold is a rather significant location in the northeastern corner of Felwood as it acts as a three-way intersection between a number of zones, particularly Felwood, Winterspring, and Moonglade, both of which don't connect physically to other zones. Timbermaw Hold contains a number of somewhat-neutral NPCs though you can build up your reputation with its denizens through quests and such in the area.

Many of these will take you through the three regions connecting to it. All three regions are neutral zones.
9. How many zones can be accessed (on foot) from Felwood?

Answer: Four

Most players can enter Ashenvale to the south if the didn't come from that direction in the first place. Ashenvale is a level 20-30 zone for both factions of players. To the north, players can access both Moonglade (a relatively open-level zone for almost all players) and Winterspring (a wintery zone for players players nearer level 60). Finally, players can drop down a cliff into Darkshore (provided they can survive the fall). Darkshore is an Alliance-centric zone containing no Horde outposts. Made for players departing at lower levels from Teldrassil or Azuremist Isle, this area is for level 10-20.
10. How many instances can be found in Felwood?

Answer: None

Although no dungeons can be found in this 'in-between' type zone, Ashenvale to the south contains Blackfathom Deeps. This is the only connected locale to feature any instances. The only other northern, continental zones to feature any instance in Kalimdor are The Barrens which contains most of its instances (Razorfen Kraul and Razorfen Downs) in its southern end (though Wailing Caverns is close to The Crossroad) and the lowest-level Horde dungeon in the game, Ragefire Chasm, in the lowest area of Orgrimmar in Durotar.
