Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In which town found in Red Cloud Mesa do Tauren players start their games?

Answer: Camp Narache

Red Cloud Mesa is a large area of Mulgore designed for new Tauren players to take their baby steps, much like Sunstrider Isle in Eversong Woods or the Valley of Trials in Durotar. Tauren, being a Horde race, will find that this area caters to the professions and classes of Tauren available to play in many ways. Camp Narache is the very first town any new Tauren player will visit, and any new Shaman players will be able to earn their Earth Totem with little strain. Camp Narache itself contains a few traders and trainers to get the first-time started as well as a number of quest-giving NPCs, but once the player is level 5, it should be due time to leave.
2. What is the name of the monolith found in Red Cloud Mesa?

Answer: Kodo Rock

Kodo Rock is only really necessary if you're departing from Camp Narache as a Tauren Shaman, completing quests necessary to advance in the beginner quest line. This symbol-laden monolith can be found if you head due east out of Camp Narache though it's not at the end of any beaten path, so searching around for it may be necessary.

As a note, this is not the only revered stone like this in Mulgore or the rest of "World of Warcraft"; spiritual formations tend to appear in very different places.
3. Brambleblade Ravine contains which of these bosses?

Answer: Chief Sharptusk Thornmantle

Leader of the Bristleback Quilboar, this character is one of the objectives in a Camp Narache quest chain for most players. Heading due east from Camp Narache will take you to the edges of the Mesa and the caves that create Brambleblade Ravine. Here, lower-level players may find that their time at Red Cloud Mesa is coming to a close, because once the 'Break Sharptusk!' quest is complete and Thornmantle's head has been returned to Brave Windfeather, you can head west out of the area into the rest of Mulgore.
4. Taking the path out of Red Cloud Mesa, what town will you find first?

Answer: Bloodhoof Village

On the shores of Stonebull Lake, Bloodhoof Village will be on the left side of the road leading out of Redcloud Mesa at the intersection taking players east and west. This small town is home to a number of early Tauren trainers and quest-giving NPCs for players looking to advance past level 5.

The town also contains a Mount Trader, where Tauren players of appropriate level can pick out their first ridable mount. Most of the quests found here are for completion in the southern half of the Mulgore Map as more advanced quests take players north to Thunder Bluff, the Tauren home city (and major Horde waypoint).
5. Bristleback Interlopers can be found at which location on the map?

Answer: Red Rocks

Red Rocks is found in the northeast corner of Mulgore amongst the steep hills bordering the continent to the east. While Bristleback Interlopers (another member of the Quilboar family scattered throughout Mulgore) aren't too rough to handle, they will be a bit more of a challenge for lower-leveled players. If players venture into other parts of the world, specifically to the southeast, they can find additional Bristleback tribes and leaders to defeat, though none of these ever go past level 20, really.

Many of them can be found stationed at Agama'Gor. Red Rocks is home to the objective of one of the later Tauren quests for new players.
6. How many Water Wells can be found in Mulgore?

Answer: Three

Found in vastly different areas from one another, these important locations (to the Tauren anyways) are usually filled with Venture Co. Dwarves of surprisingly low levels. Wildmane Water Well can be found to the north of Thunder Bluff near a small encampment, Thunderhorn Water Well is just off the road between Thunder Bluff and Bloodhoof Village, and Winterhoof Water Well is east of Bloodhoof, just south of the main path leading out of Mulgore. Certain quests from Mull Thunderhorn in Bloodhoof Village should set you on your way to clearing some of the evil dwarves out of these utility areas as they are fairly important to the Tauren.
7. Bael'Dun Digsite is a Horde outpost.

Answer: False

In fact, the Bael'Dun Appraisers and digsite workers will only be hostile to Horde players while allowing Alliance characters full use of their services and amenities. This is the only location in Mulgore to do so. Bael'Dun Digsite can be found along the western cliff walls of Mulgore's mountain range. Players will not find a path leading to this area, but walking along the edge of the valley will take you there. Certain questlines will take new Tauren players here though it is regarded as quite the low-level area, much like the others in Mulgore, and experienced players would find no value in visiting unless they are exploring.
8. In which of these Thunder Bluffs locations would you find the Bank?

Answer: Central Rise

The amazing thing about Thunder Bluffs is the fact that the entire city is situated on top of large rock precipices. To access it from the ground, one must ride up and down on a large lift system connecting to the Central Rise, which is split into many different sections by its natural formation.

In the middle of Central Rise is the largest structure in Mulgore, which also acts as the flight path location for the city. Elder Rise is to the east, Hunter Rise is to the south, and Spirit Rise is to the northwest. Each of these contains trainers and traders specific to the attributes of that rise (Spirit Rise, for example, contains Mage trainers, etc.). Various shops can be found throughout the entire city.
9. In Thunder Bluffs, a vendor will sell you companion pets of which animal?

Answer: Prairie Dog

While Prairie Dogs can be found in a few different zones of 'World of Warcraft", they seem to be quite predominant in Mulgore. One vendor in Thunder Bluffs, Halpa, will sell a companion pet version of this creature for a small price and it can then be added to a collection. Similarly, Snakes can be found in nearby Orgrimmar, though in a number of different colours and types.

A prairie dog whistle can be purchased for a meager fifty silver. While, unlike Warlock companions, they can't attack in battle, they are a cute little guy to have around.
10. Which area is the only one to connect directly to Mulgore?

Answer: The Barrens

Coincidentally Durotar, the Orc/Troll starting point, is also directly connected to The Barrens from the northeast. Both areas connecting to this centralized location make it the perfect opportunity for Horde players to level and advance near the start of their quests.

In fact, The Barrens has a level range of 5 to 30, making it one of the most adaptable zones for leveling. Mulgore's southeastern path leads into the southwestern portion of The Barrens connecting to the area's southernmost town, Camp Taurajo. Thunder Bluff connects to each of the three flight path locations in The Barrens quite easily, and because Mulgore contains no instanced dungeons, players may find themselves taking their first dungeon steps into Wailing Caverns (next to The Crossroads) or Ragefire Chasm in Orgrimmar.
