Answer: Everlook

Found in the center of the zone, Everlook is a goblin-run outpost headed by the Steamwheedle Cartel (based out of Gadgetzan for the most part). The town contains most of the traders you'll need to find including an inn, trader, and profession traders.

The town contains no trainers though there is a banker. Player will reach Everlook for the first time by passing through from the west. A path leads directly from the previous zone into the center of the outpost. This is the northeastern-most city on Kalimdor, and one of the only ones to contain snow.

Answer: Timbermaw Hold

Also connecting to Felwood and Moonglade (to the west and northwest, respectively), Winterspring is a relatively remote location in the sense that it's cut off from most other regions until you reach its main town. The only way in is to head through Timbermaw Hold from the north if you've flown to Moonglade as a Druid player, or heading through Timbermaw Hold from the west in the forested region known as Felwood.

This means you've also made your way through Ashenvale. Regardless, you're paying a visit to this region which houses a number of cave-dwelling characters whose reputation you can easily earn from nearby NPCs.

Herbalists beware! Icecap is an herb which requires an Herbalism level of 280 in order to be pulled from the ground (I assume Icecap is both rare and fragile). Used in only five Alchemy potions/elixirs, it's one of the lesser-needed herbs that you'll find in Kalimdor. Only Black Lotus and Bloodvine are more rare in the original "World of Warcraft" (without expansions). Black Lotus, coincidentally, can be found, albeit rarely, in Winterspring and other high-level zones in the game. Bloodvine is only found in Zul'Gurub.

Answer: An Alliance village

Found slightly to the north of Everlook, Starfall Village is a rather small location at which Alliance players can find vendors and quests for the northern regions of Winterspring. While most of the amenities you'll need should come from the goblin town of Everlook, Starfall is somewhat of a comfort zone for Alliance travelers. If you're looking for an altogether hostile town, Winterfall Village, slightly east of Everlook, is a bit more deadly. Filled with Furbolgs, this village is home to a few quest objectives for players seeking that type of thing.

Answer: Shy-Rotam

Frostsaber Rock is the northern-most region of the zone of Winterspring, and players coming here are probably only in it for the quests. Populated nearly entirely by Sabretooth Cats of various types, the area is an open field of snow and fur. Frostsaber Rock itself stands over the region much like Pride Rock from "The Lion King". Fighting the tundra beast known as Shy-Rotam is necessary for one of the quests coming to this area.

When fighting Shy-Rotam, her male counterpart, Sian-Rotam, may make an appearance to help fight. King Bangalash, Bhag'thera, and Sin'Dall are all found in Stranglethorn Vale, and each one is defeated as a result of specfic quest chains.

Answer: Through a cave

Found in the northeast corner of the zone, the Hidden Glade is an area obscured from the main regions of Winterspring by tall cliffs and slightly denser forests. Players can find a small cavern in the area's south end to grant entry, but it may just be easier to climb to the western cliffs of the Hidden Glade in order to drop in (safely, if you can).

The entire region is filled with Crazed, Moontouched, and Berserk Owlbeasts ranging from level 57 to 59. These creatures are particularly useful for certain drop quests, but otherwise, you probably won't have much business with them.

Answer: West

The closest region to Donova Snowden is possibly the Frostfire Hot Springs in the western portion of Winterspring. Both of these are close to the zone's entrance at Timbermaw Hold. Donova Snowden is a relatively important quest-giving NPC for the zone.

Her thorough quest chain will take you back and forth between Felwood and Winterspring for experience and money and it'll allow you to partake in events that only happen to the west of Everlook. Many of the quests in Everlook won't reach this stretch of tundra. Donova is a neutral Dwarf meaning that all players can take her quests.

Answer: Blue

Blue dragons typically get associated with magic, and the ones flying about in Mazthoril are no exception to the rule. Mazorthil is found against the western border of the south end of Winterspring. This cave is home to a number of blue dragons including Haleh and General Colbatann.

While Haleh will be waiting in the cavern to give quests to players of both factions (some players will meet her on the way to Onyxia's Lair), the General will be waiting to battle players. An elite boss, Colbatann is usually around level 57. Blue Dragonflight are also quite common in Northrend as part of the "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion.

Answer: Darkwhisper Gorge

Both of these higher-level areas are in the southern portion of Winterspring at the end of the lonely road which cuts across the zone. Frostwhisper Gorge comes first; this area contains elite mobs reaching as high as level 60. Darkwhisper Gorge is found further south of this and it changes the region's atmosphere entirely from frozen tundra to grim, darkened mesa.

This area contains similar enemies and level ranges. It is also an elite area. Both feature quests which can begin for higher level players who have arrived in Everlook.

Despite the fact that players will not find any trace of instanced dungeons in the zone, it does contain the three elite areas in its southern end: Mazthoril, Darkwhisper Gorge, and Frostwhisper Gorge. Much like the other zones in northern Kalimdor, unfortunately, Winterspring is devoid of instances.

The closest in terms of distance would mean that Orgrimmar's Ragefire Chasm is the nearest instance though it's one of the lowest-leveled instances in the game. Otherwise, the closest if you're going to run the entire way is Ashenvale's Blackfathom Deeps on the Zoram Strand- the western coast of the zone on the Veiled Sea.
