Combos are very useful for going extra damage to enemies! "Leaping Surge" is a combination of Storm's lightning strike and Nightcrawler's teleport leap. Several combos can be achieved, each doing additional damage as compared to just one hit.

Answer: Gambit

X-Treme powers can only be used once enough energy has been collected. Once a mutant hits level 40, all five slots of X-Treme powers are available for use. These are very powerful bursts of mutant energy. Gambit's "52 Pickup" makes several kinetically charged cards fly and damages several enemies at once. Nightcrawler's "Blindside Blitz" allows him to fly around each enemy at such a speed that they can't even see him.

Answer: The Hammer of Nimrod

Most unique items are either colored yellow or green. The Hammer of Nimrod can be picked up randomly during a fight or later purchased from Forge. It adds 125-150 damage from mutant attacks specifically to Sentinels. If Nightcrawler has it equipped when he uses his Teleport Frenzy, he is an almost unstoppable force against them.

Answer: Storm

Most X-Men have the opportunity to fight for their own specific item. Danger Room discs found throughout the game unlock that opportunity. Storm's specific item is the "Goddess Medallion," which gives her a +5 agility stat boost as well as a 20% boost in her win and electricity. Emma Stone's item is "Diamond's Aura," Jean Grey's is "Mantle of the Phoenix," and Jubilee's is "Hypnotic Skyburst".

Answer: Emma Stone

Emma Stone cannot fly or hover in any way. Both Magma and Iceman use their elemental powers to create "bridges" they can move quickly on, with their "lava tracks" and "ice tracks," respectively. Storm, Jean Grey, and Rogue can all fly. Also, if you hover one of them over a fellow X-Men they can carry them around while flying.

Answer: Psylocke

Psylocke joined the team when the X-Men were saving mutants from the attacks from Sentinels in the dark streets of New York. Her attacks are mostly mental, like Jean Grey's, but she also has "Psychic Bolts" along with a hammer and spikes. Wolverine's similar skill is called "Sharpness", which adds damage to his claw attacks.

Answer: Healer

Healer is a mutant who lives in the sewers. He and Marrow, the ruler of the Morlocks, bicker about their situation. The X-Men met with him and he offered to make them potions. From any extraction point, he sold either energy or healing potions, as well as any Danger Room discs you may have missed during missions.

Answer: Cyclops

Cyclops is the leader of the X-Men, aside of course from Professor Xavier. His power, called "Tactics", improves how well he fights. The more the power is leveled up, the more powerful it becomes, up to the point where it affects teammates as well. He and Storm also have "Leadership," which gives extra experience for combos.

Answer: It gives a +3 boost to all traits

There are four different "nightmare" challenges. If you defeated each one of them, you earned the Shi'Ar armor of Mind, Body, Energy, and the Battle Implants. Each of the armor gives impressive boosts (50% resistance to their respective protections, Mental, Physical, and Energy).

The Shi'Ar Battle Implants gives any mutant +3 to all traits. Several boosts are given, including extra health, energy, attack, and defense rating.

Answer: Marrow, Sabretooth, and Juggernaut

You have five minutes to destroy four computers, find and defeat Pyro, and beat 40 total enemies. The extra enemies all have different resistances, including Physical, Mental, and Energy. Marrow appears first, followed by both Sabretooth and Juggernaut. The recommended level to play this challenge is 35.
