1. Loveland Castle, Ohio, is also known by what other name?

Answer: Chateau Laroche

Chateau Laroche, located in Loveland, Ohio was built was built over the course of 50 years by World War I veteran and boy-scout troop leader Harry Andrews. He hand-built the castle brick by brick.

When he died in 1981 he willed the castle to his troop, known as the Knights of the Golden Trail. It has since been turned into a museum.

Both castles are built in the Gothic style and are mirror images of each other.

Donn and Abram Piatt, brothers, built the two castles in the 1860s and 1870s. The family continued to own both structures into the 21st century, and operated them as Ohio history museums starting in the late 20th century.
